I went to the dealership last week to purchase an extended warranty just for a little piece of mind. They locked me into what i think is an ok deal ($1700 for 3yrs/36,000 miles), all i had to do was pass an inspection to make sure i had no claims. Guess what, they told me i need a new trans adapter seal, front axle seals, trans output seal, and transfercase input seal. So i get to spend $1000 before i can even get a warranty.

What happened is that the rules changed on Chryslers extended warranty. Its not directly from chrysler. You don't pay out $2k and just get the warranty. It comes from the dealers now. This means the dealer can basically say anything is wrong with your car that needs to be fixed before they will "let you" purchase the chrysler warranty from them. Odds are this is a realllllly good new way for dealers to screw the crap out of owners.

Do These Warrantys Start At Your Current Mileage Like If I Have 33000 And I Buy The 3 Year 70000 Mile Extended Does That Mean Warranty Is Over At 70000 Miles No If And Or Buts,or Is It An Additional 70000miles Plus My 33000?

Nope, I wish it did work that way. They go by the build date/ in service date. So if you have 33K miles currently and buy a 70K mile warranty. You only have a warranty for another 37K miles.
