Greetings All:

I joined your forum as I am in deep study about the purchase of a Cherokee SRT-8 versus that of a Porsche Cayenne S. Based solely on sticker price and dealer service costs, its no comparison the SRT wins hands down. The Cayenne has an oil change/service every 10k miles that runs about $600. I am curious as to anyone that purchased a GCSRT to my questions below, and I do thank you for the help:

1) What vehicles did you compare
2) Do you regret your purchase?
3) What bad things surprised you during ownership?
4) If you bought and then sold/traded, what type of hit did you take?
5) What things did you wish the SRT had?
6) What features you paid for are unimportant to you?
7) Will the model continue into 2008?
8) What features/changes are coming in 2008?

Any and all input is welcomed, and thank you all once again.

I appreciate the reply, and the "plastic" interior pieces have always been a gripe of mine with Chrysler products.

The HID's are good to see, and I assume the 115v will be in the back, so an inverter will be stashed somewhere (estimate 400w).

I do wish the bolsters could be adjusted a little.

If production starts in August, what is the typical date for order submittal? (approximate)

[quote=TheDon]I appreciate the reply, and the "plastic" interior pieces have always been a gripe of mine with Chrysler products. I just sent some of my interior to get wrapped in leather to match the export JGC. There are work arounds for most issues and I really enjoy the JGC.

1.) C6 Corvette
2.) Every time I pull up to the gas pump.
3.) Wow you're a negative nancy! Well, the time it stalled on my while pulling into traffic.
4.) If you're considering this option, do us all a favor and do not buy one.
5.) 6.4L, custom Focal audio soundsystem w/ AVIC headunit, Heads Up Display, HID headlights, ..... but then again the cost would be far more than current sticker.
6.) I wouldn't have paid for it if they were "unimportant" to me.
