About 2 months ago, I took my out around 2 here and made a nice video of 60-160. As I watch the video, it took about 12-14 seconds, and was very smooth and no shaking like others say.

I have never raced a C5 'Vette on the freeway & I definitely did not get up to 155.

You know guys, they have speed limits for a reason. Its so EVERYONE abides by them and the roads are as safe as possible. If I ever saw someone fly by me.............................. Just kidding. LOL. 145 MPH racing some little ricer. I was going over a bridge on the uphill side. I like to open her up once in a while when my wife and baby aren't with me so I can get it out of my system.

I'm not even sure. All I know is the adrenaline is pumping and the fear sets in when you realize someone is about to change lanes right in front of you. I think double the speed limit is a definate ride in the back of a cop car.

No nitrous. It was posted on here a while ago. Still has another 300rpm before the rev limiter kicks in so 170 is probably attainable.

About 145 foolishly going after a black Ferrari 430. He won. I backed off - it wasn't even a freeway, and at that speed the road was getting pretty narrow.

Nice...been to those speeds on the motorcycle but not quite that high in the jeep!

I see from the pics in your sig that our tastes are similar....Inferno Red Jeep, LT1 Camaro (although yours is way cleaner and faster!), and the motorcycle. The addiction to speed is a hard one to kick. LOL :p:D

160mph when it was fully stock, with only me in the jeep. Had to shut her down because I was running out of road, but still had 3-4-5 or so hundred rpms to go.....cant quite remember because I was trying to keep my eyes on the road:D

im with ya bro... actually i have a limited amount of spots to go for that kind of speed...

to me 120-130 mph is fast enough for me... im more into the 50-80.... the 80-110... the 10mph rolls to 50-60 or so... or the wot's from a hole :) i enjoy power that hits ya over the linear power you feel by going up to 150-170 miles an hour...

and lets not forget..The most important point 4any driver to remember is that if U double your speed...say from 30mph to 60mph....your braking distance does not become twice as long...it actually becomes four times as far! ive always found that fascinating

Don't get me wrong if I am driving like a toolbag I'm still going to end up with something out of the deal...but so far I've had nothing but good luck with the plates on. The Fiancee was running 80 in a 55 (set on cruise... :twak:) and a State Trooper stopped her... walked up to the car... asked her if she was on the department (she is a medic so her reply was yes)... told her to slow down a little and walked back to his car. :eek:

I really don't push my luck though... I'm usually the 10 over guy and show the LEOs some respect. :cool:
