Jeep has 35,000 miles . . I put catch can on about 31,000 miles . . . I figure it isn't going to save all of the oil that went into the intake before it was installed, but it can help the future!!
oh and don't mind the everclear bottle . . haha that was a fun night.

And because of feedback from the members on this forum I was able to install one at 500 miles....I believe a member showed a few pics of what the intake looked like...you might do a search....I could see long term negative impact....

It's more EPA friendly to recycle that oil than to let it coat and burn up in the intake manifold. ;)

I just replaced my stock manifold with a ported one and put on a catch can. I will say this though, when I looked inside my stock manifold with approx. 18,500 miles on it, it was as clean as a whistle, NO catch can. HOWEVER, the runners near the exits (to the heads) DID have oil coated on the insides.
Now, with approx 700 miles on my new manifold with the catch can, I already have oil collected on the inside so go figure:confused:

Its funny cause when i took the rig to the dealership they asked what the heck it was and why i put it on there.. So i told them and then the guy asked if any oil was collected and so i showed him what was in there.. He was amazed that oil was getting back to the intake..
