Hi,

Please explain what does hydrolock mean. I habe Bwoody 4" without drycharger and today when I had my first service after 15000km the service said that in deep water engine can soak water in and cause a damage.

Any comments from BWoody 4" users ?
How to avoid it in rainy weather ?
Any cover like K&N CAI ?

Please help while I am from Europe and here any help in terms of mods is appreciated

To sum up your quetions....

Hydrolock (short for either hydraulic lock or hydrostatic lock) is a condition of an internal combustion engine in which an incompressible liquid has been introduced into its cylinder(s), resulting in the immobilization of the engine's pistons. The liquid causing this malfunction is often water, hence the prefix "hydro-". Hydrolock occurs in a 4-stroke engine when liquid is sucked into the engine's cylinder(s) during the intake stroke and, due to the incompressibility of the liquid, makes the compression stroke impossible. This, in turn, prevents the entire engine from turning, and can cause significant engine damage if one attempts to forcibly turn over or start the engine. Typically, connecting rods will be bent, making the engine uneconomical to repair.

The only way i see you sucking water up in the engine would be you going threw a 2foot deep puddle
iv'e had mine for about 2yrs..rain,sleet and snow and never had any problems with mine, the only down fall is the chrome piece on the top of fliter has rust on it but other than that no problems..

No issues here either but get a K&N DryCharger just to be safe. Like mrfreeze said you would have to go through some pretty nasty water to suck up any water. Just look at where the intake is in relation to the ground, you will have to go through water at least that deep for hydrolock to happen

To make it simple, you'll be fine. Just don't drive into 1' puddles. And if you drive in precipitation, invest in a Dry Charger.
