...been trying to add more buzz to my GC by upgrading to HID...WITH NO SUCCESS. Here's what's happening:
- when daytime headlights flicker even when turned off...similar effect as a police car
- at night...they turn off for a very short moment and come back on.

Installer tells me is a voltage problem...HID consume less...computer sends a signal...thinks there is nothing there and turns lights off. Is this true?

Has anyone had this problem? What is the solution?

HELP....HELP

Yep what he says is true. A relay/harness should fix the problem.

You definately need a harness. That will solve ALL your problems. Let me know if you want one, I can give you my wholesale discount.

Build one. All you need is a relay and some wire. Or you can buy from Street WK. If you want instructions or a diagram PM me your email i will forward you the schematics.

I have an 06 ram sport that had a similar issue but was corrected but the relay was just not enough, I also had an issue with while the lights were on they would randomlly flicker which was caused by the PCM doing a search for a bad bulb. And this was after the relay kit. If the PCM see's the low or no resistance enogh times it will stop sending power to that light location, and to get the PCM to send power again is to have the dealer flash the PCM.

The way around the issue is to get a high voltage 10ohm resistor and put in line between the relay and stock positive wire. You can get the resistor from Radio shack for any where between $1 to $20 depending on if you get one with a heat sink (perfered) if you get one without a heat sink you want to strap the resistor down to metal where nothing else will touch it due to the fact that the resistor will get extremly hot and can burn any thing but metal.

I could be wrong but there are HID kits out there that considers this error message. I believe mercerdes guys had similar issues and was a group buy on a kit that properly fooled the computer.

Relays work just fine if wired up correctly and you didn't try to install the lights directly with out the relay already.

I voltage tested the harness coming out at the lights and it came across as 12v so i connected the ballast directly to the harness, It popped the control module and they had to replace it. NOw with the relay and some direct power both sets run fine.

Our HID kits already come with wiring harnesses however we also sell them seperately. Our harnesses are designed to work with ballasts that use a 9006 style input plug:
