Hey Guys,
I have an 09 GCSRT8 and noticed that after driving about 1000 miles that I was a quart low on oil. I was wondering if this the normal oil consumption for our rigs? Also, I read in an article, published by Jeep, that our rigs hold 7 quarts of oil but when you are doing an oil change and after putting in six quarts of oil, the oil stick may read full. The article suggest that you put in the seventh quart and after you start it up, the oil will drop to its proper level and you'll have an accurate reading. I currently have 4100 miles on my rig and during my first oil change, I watched the Jeep Service Tech change my ouil but I can't recall if he put in six or seven quarts of oil. (I read the article after my first oil change) Now, after driving about 1100 miles after my first oil change, I am about a half of quart of oil low. Please help!!!!!!!!!
