At my local Dodge dealer they just got in a used 08 SRT8 GC with 25k miles, in excellant condition, sinister black, and fully loaded. There going to call me with the asking price soon as it's checked out. However after reading posts here I see there seems to be a problem with front end vibrations above 65 mph. How prevelant is this, and are there other problems I should be aware of? This vehicle does sound like fun though. :-)

Just an update. I drove the Jeep as mentioned above and unfortunately this Jeep had the front end shake. I told the dealer I'd buy it if they fixed that problem. See what happens. While there they had a brand new black 08 300C SRT8, they were asking 32995, (15k off sticker) had every option but the rear DVD player, that's a hot deal. I just might go for that.

I'm selling my black 07 with 14k miles and all options except rear dvd for $31k. Thats a deal on the 300 though. The jeep is more practical though.

vibrations over 65? first time ive heard that bro... and if it does i dont think the vibration is gonna bother you much after being OFFICIALLY behind the wheel... :) its a no brainer... i dont think id pass up a rig like this just b/c theres a possibility of wheel vibration at high speeds.. ha...if thats the worst thing your thinking of i think you and gcsrt8 are meant to be... good luck bro... you will not regret it one bit

In this forum is where I learned about the seemingly uncurable front end shake. I have driven this vehicle, (just this morning) and the vibration was there, I'm sure enough to bother me and who knows, it may just get worse with added miles. Other than the front shake it was an awesome vehicle, accelerating from a dead stop was almost orgasmic, geez did I say that :-) If it did'nt have this front end problem, it would probably end up in my garage. I made the dealer fully aware of the problem, he said he would look into it, however I doubt they will.

Me neither on my 07. I wouldnt even know about that issue if it wasnt for this forum. Thankfully this forum is also where I found out about the CTS-V pads to fix the rear brake squeel, and that has done the trick.

Well I've got to say, but I has my jeep up to 155 the past weekend and felt like I was in the cadillac. No shakes or anything..
Thats one heck of a deal on the 300, but i'd still take a jeep!
