We hear so much stuff about crappy dealers that just for the Hell of it, thought I'd review yesterdays visit with mine. I've got a great one. As usual, arrived at 8AM, and was out by about 10. Perhaps it helps that from day one I made it a point to nicely point out my analness (?) and establish a relationship with one service advisor and one tech. (who has now been made shop foreman), and I'm sure that didn't hurt. Nor does the little "sthuup" I give them each time. Anyway.

From the Repair Order.

Concern....customer states there is a delayed shift. (gave them TSB print out)

Cause....Performed Bulletin 2102006

Correction....Reprogrammed Trans Control Module. (I love it, crisp shift at approximatley 6000-6100 at WOT, and no automatic upshift below that point)

Concern....Customer states the SES light has come on/off twice in last 4500 miles.

Cause....Code no data stored in ESC module. defect

Correction....Ordered new one

Now for this one, I simply pointed out slight scoring on front rotors and brought up the fact that many here and in LX's have had issues. And, I have some slight scoring, but NO PULSING AT 26,449 MILES.

Concern....Customer states pulsation when braking.

Cause....Front rotors warped.

Correction....Ordered Rotors

This one regards 09-011-06 on 6.1 in LX models

Concern....Customer states any updates to turn fan on any sooner.

Cause....No updates at this time, will research

Correction....none

Dumped oil and filter for $56, using 15/50......Also supplied me with new label stating same for engine bay application.

I know this is long, but it was an easy few hours chillin in front of the flat screens enjoying coffee and doughnuts. All dealers should be this way. Just wanted to share.

NICE! There ARE good dealers out there.

However even I have yet to get new rotors, and I'm dating the service writeup girl! =/ *hrmf*

I hate my dealer. They act like I'm a burden to deal with (not to mention they only have 2 loaner cars on site that are always in use) and I've only been in twice. In fact, all 3 closest dealerships to me are owned by the same company. Looks like I'll have to drive 30+ minutes on my next service to find another dealer, who is 5-star rated, unlike my current dealer.

Teda, it sounds like you have a real find. Take care of them!

My dealer is firmly entrenched in the 80's. I'll need to find another one before I get into any sort of serious service relationship.
