Was driving down expressway last night when i guy in a black nissan titan pickup with chrome 22s and an exhaust gets next to me challenging me, i laugh at him ,which infuriated him..Well we slow down to about 40 and go go go,..Are these guys crazy thinking they can run with a beast like this?....

Nothing better than owning someone in a JEEP!! No one suspects it at all. I had a guy on a ZX-6R staring at me as I was pulling into a place getting lunch today. The guy asked me if my truck was factory. I said kinda, and wished to God he was in a car and I could have played with him. It's people like that, that make owning one of these that much better. They just don't know what happend until it's all over....... and it's over pretty damn quickly!:lol:

I actually had a guy..maybe in his mid to upper 20's try me last Friday night in a Hyundai...can you beleive that sh!t! He actually had the little stick on fender vents (they have to be good for at least 90hp on each side ). I actually let him beat me..which wasnt easy cause at 1/4 throttle I was 4 cars in front lmao. But I put up a good act and let him pass me and he gave me the blinker dance thing I laughed so hard I almost had to pull over. The reason I did that is cause Im sure he's goona get on some forum,(he had a big car club sign in his rear window) and tell his freinds he beat a Jeep SRT8...and they are gonna die laughing at him for being such a retard and believing that.

Funny story, I take the girl out to dinner last night and someone is ALWAYS trying to race me when she is in the car. It never happens when I'm alone:p. Anyways this dude in his 50's pulls up next to me after riding my ass and he is in a new body 2007 Hemi Durango with dual side exit exhaust and his son is in the passenger seat (about 15yo). He says "damn that exhaust sounds goooooood, I have been following you just to hear it, what do you have done?" I say, oh its kind of a custom setup with headers. He says "you wanna run them?"....I am laughing in my head but say "ok I'll try":D Light hits green and their windows are down. I nail the gas and all 4 chirp and then I launch like a rocket and am already 2 cars ahead of him before we are under the traffic light. This is a very small 4 lane road so I shut it down at 60 (speed limit 30:eek:) and he is probably 10 cars back. I had to hit the next right and he kept going straight but his son was hanging out the window with his jaw scraping the ground and pointing to his ears:p. I guess I scared the $hit out of him when I launched and he didn't quite expect the jeep to be so loud and kill them by that much. He is probably trying to talk pops into getting a jeep now:D

I totally hear ya bro.... but i really think alot of people out there still have no clue about these rigs... 4 years of production and we still have people asking what the heck are we driving... thats gotta tell ya something...

im in the right lane on the highway getting ready to exit about a mile or so up and i see a f350 diesel in the left lane put his blinker on and realize hes on his way for the same exit... i notice he put the pedal to the floor and i do as well... picture a telephone poll... now picture yourself jogging... he was the poll.. i was the jogger :)

and the reason why i knew he was at wot was a few miles back he did a fly by me on the highway after i passsed him coming onto the highway pretty aggressively b/c i was late for work... he actually seemed offended that i passsed him... lol

and what does he pull miles up after we get off the exit? the wot fly by after i make a right into work... lol

huh? a domestic diesel pulling a fly by? wow... thats a first !! he must also own a honda civic with a sick exhaust :)

Im in traffic on a highway.... but on occasion things break up so you can play around a little before it becomes a cluster fck again

anyway... there is a porsche 911 in middle lane..it was just the regular carrera.... it was surely a few years old... they push 325 with 275lbs tq.....

traffic opens up a tad.. im in autostick first gear.. doing around 10... i give him a mash to the floor quick jump just to fck around... not necessarily call him out...

he looks over.... and LAUGHS... the dude fckin laughed and just cont. to look straight ahead like im a fool.... i wanted to get out and smack him... :)

well we never had a chance b/c traffic was just to jammed... and than i had to get off at an exit

a regular carrera is high 4's 0-60 and a low 13

i crept-up on a buick arcadia yesterday night at about 11pm sitting at a red light.the light changes to green and he guns it,i give the jeep moderate throttle just to keep pace with him(playing of course)staying slightly behind him then at about 55mph i gun it and totally smoked him by bus lengths.he catches up to me at the next light and he wants to run again.i guess he figured he did so well against me at the first light from a standstill.this time the light changes to green and i gun it full throttle this time too and i totally fry him again.:D

Some Diesels are a little scarry. Don't worry about Fod Diesels though. They're not THAT quick. I had a 04 that threw down 424/768. It was fast up to 70 but that was about it. I didn't even have injectors in it. Just Intercooler, Intake and Exhaust, Slightly Modded Turbo, Trans, 165hp. Program. It's the Chevy's and the Dodge's you need to watch out for. Chevy's..... throw exhaust and a sick tune and 150hp. Injectors in it and it's a low 12 High 11 sec. truck. Don't underestimate the power of a oil burner. One might just bite you one day.:eek:

yes i totally hear ya on that... i actually started to talk about my run with a diesel in the sti i use to have but i my thread looked a little long so i took that part out :)

my sti was tuned... she was a little rocket... and let me tell ya i was runnin with a diesel one day and i seriously was walking by it in crutches.... i was shocked and now well aware what diesels can do... the almighty efficient diesel engines can tear sht up if they are modded

A few months back I absolutely destroyed some boner in a 350 Z, so I was lookin' around some forums to see if he had posted anything on any 350Z communities out there. During my search I stumbled upon a Titan forum. By reading their posts I completely believe that a guy in a Titan would attempt to race you. These dudes are completely delusional. The Titan is fairly quick for a full-szie P/U, but PUUULEASE...Some of the stories were solid gold. A lot of,"I beat a guy in 300 SRT8", etc. etc.".

You cant just discount a car by the brand because some can be fast. For instand the New Tundra with the TRD supercharger (I dont know the stats but i bet it could be modded to be quick). Or that new Hyundai coupe, its got like 300hp stock. Remember pretty much any car can be made fast including hondas and the like.

Now those trucks and SUVs with just rims, intakes, and exhaust like it sounds like in the original post with the Titan. Light em up whenever you get the chance.

yea alot of car brands are stepping it up and trying to make the next big thing...HOWEVER, my pops got the new juiced tundra it aint $hit and wouldnt pay $10 for it if it was offered to me.:eek:

About a week ago my neighbor with his audi tt couldnt believe the whippin he got. Nothings better than killing those ricer fast an furious cars....there isnt much that ive came across that can launch off the line like these jeeps, i love it....more mods ! more mods !

yea for sure..people say it time and time again but these things are sleepers. no one knows about how fast they actually are ,then their jaws drop when they got beat in a car that they probably payed double for.

We have a guy in town with a stock titan with dents & scratches on it but he has the stillin s/c on it...I got to ride in it & from a stock titan to his is a huge diffrence..it did rolling burn outs from like 20 mph! I still think I could take him,even if he launches in 4 high:) but hes a true sleeper!

The light turns green and they go for it. The civic pulls ahead by about a car lenght by the next light and the sentra pulls off. I guess the civic driver was feeling pretty confident at this point and a little high from his "victory" so he starts revving at me. I shake my head thinking he's joking but then the light turns green and he punches it. I give him about half a second the take off easily, no wheelie. I pass him quickly then put about 8 car lengths on him in third gear then back off. Of course I got the ubiquitous ricer flyby.

When im in a slower car i challange a lot more stuff then i do in a faster car. For example. Back when i had my wrx i would race pretty much anything just to see how i would do, whether it be Japanese Tuner, Euro Refinement, American Muscle. I knew i would get beat by say a C5 vette, but it was a lot of fun to run them so im not hard on the guys that just want to give it a go. Now when im in my vette i dont really race anything unless i know they are highly modded, exotic, or sport bike. In a way it was more fun to have the wrx because it was competitive with a lot more stuff and i could kart around in it. Now with the vette races get to rediculous speeds pretty fast so yes there is an adrenaline rush but it is not as enjoyable. In my opinion it is the thrill of the race and whether I'll win that is key, not how fast i get going. By this logic a WRX is just as fun as a fast vette or jeep. But the fact remains that i dont race very often and when you are by yourself, the speed and acceleration is what is fun, since you arent racing.

That being said this guy was probably braggin to all his buddies how he took a ducati off the line and therefore he would be a huge tool.

It's funny that most of my buddies here have all Honda's and maybe a Mazda here and there. And when they heard that I was getting my SRT8, their faces just dropped, lol. They all have tons of modds to their cars, but still only run, the fastest 13.5, most low to mid 14's........and my poor ol GC is bone stock and can kill them all......they hate me ;(
And it's awesome to have the only GC SRT8 in town, because as you all have said, not many know what it is, or what it can do. Everyone is always asking what it is, or did you just put a body kit on a reg GC...lol

Anyhow, the other night we got done with a softball game and as I was getting into my Jeep, a new decked out Turbo'd Mazda Speed pulls up and starts questioning my about the SRT8. And then even after telling him the specs, he still have the b@ll$ to ask if i wanted to run, lol. I told him he's not worth getting the ticket or having it inpounded. BUT, I leave the park, get to the next red light, and guess whos there?...yeah, the Speed. So I give him a look, light turned green before I had the chance to even look back at it and lay into, so he had a huge jump, but as everyone should know, I had him by about 4 cars in a 1/4.........sad thing is, he is my coach...lol.
