whiskey 02-20-2007, 12:58 PM Any suggestions for getting the dealership sticker off the rear of the Cherokee?
jlandbl 02-20-2007, 02:10 PM Any suggestions for getting the dealership sticker off the rear of the Cherokee?
Take it to the dealer and tell em to get their commerical off your hot rod.
Nice rides by the way.
gculver 02-20-2007, 02:16 PM If it has not been sun baked on, should pull right off and use goo-gone, disloves-it or laquer thinner to remove adhesive that is left behind.
whiskey 02-20-2007, 02:22 PM It has only been above freezing one day here since we obtained the car, I thought I should wait for the temps to thaw a bit prior to pulling the thing off....
You think Lift-Off would work?
kramsay1234 02-20-2007, 02:24 PM If you are too impatient to go to the dealer, then Heat gun or hair dryer and then peel it off. If it is good and warmed up it will come off in one piece. When they are cold they break apart into a thousand pieces and are a pain to remove. Any residue will come off with WD-40 or goo-gone.
...And thats a nice looking driveway for the neighbours to pass by.

candyman 02-20-2007, 02:55 PM The nice thing about the silver is they really don't show the dirt like a black or red.
whiskey 02-20-2007, 02:56 PM ...And thats a nice looking driveway for the neighbours to pass by.
Wonder if I could put a collection box out on the street... as if paying to enter the museum....
kramsay1234 02-20-2007, 03:00 PM Just noticed your rear window on the Jeep and figure thats what you mean by dirty because other than that, with it being silver, it looks clean.
That rear window is about as clean as mine ever is and I am always afraid to use the rear wiper because the washer fluid runs down the back of my black hatch. Can't wait till spring when dust will be my worst enemy.

I figured as much. I love mine, even though the M3 was silver. Geez this black stuff is a lot of work.

whiskey 02-21-2007, 08:43 AM Nothing prettier than a freshly washed, waxed black car.
Nothing worse than a black car that needs to be washed.....
