A couple of years a go i saw some charts which essentially gave the "best" ET you can get for a given MPH... i cant find these now... does anyone know were i could find them?
The reason why i am asking is when we were at the track yesterday there was a car (srt4) that was saying how modded he was but he wasnt trapping over 100mph...
im sure everyone on here knows that spinning doesnt lower your trap speed much (if any) but that was his arguement... it just made me think about those as a reference but i cant find the damn things!

This is all i have. You have to remember gearing, body shape and wt have a lot to do with mph on a given ET.

I think mine is pretty good since I didn't trap as high as I should.

That also can be determined by your tune, altitude, humidity along with the other stuff i told you. EXAMPLE - Take a jeep and charger with 6.1 engine and same mods and they have the same ET. The charger is 575 lbs liter and will be 3 to 4 mph faster than the jeep with the same et. Or the charger could be 1 tenth slower and still be 3 to 4 mph faster. Thats what we in the old school called the jeep is quicker and the charger is faster.

Actually its the other way around bro... if his car is just sooo daaahhaamm powerful and he cant hook his trap speed if anything will be higher.... SO... if this dude is spinnning and trapping under a 100 hes car is in need of a serious tuneup.. lol...your srt4 boy is a tool... ha...

i think we are pretty much saying the same thing... power is trap... if he isnt trapping 100... he isnt running a "stage 2"... hell those cars probably trap a 96 stock...

As mentioned it's too difficult to really say... my MPH is good for 12.4 according to the first link posted above... I don't see that ever happening. haha
The launch can kill your MPH if you get out of your powerband and bog. I've seen 104~105mph traps when I come off the line to hard and spin through first and then shift to 2nd out of powerband.
Does that SRT4 trap under 100mph on every pass? I can't make any educated comments on a single pass with out seeing another pass and seeing his 60ft & 1/8th info.

Are we saying "tuner" (i.e. ricer) stage 2 or actual stage 2.
"Tuner" stage 2 = Stickers, Intake or KN Air Filter, BIG Muffler
Actual stage 2 = Usually means intake, tune, full exhaust (sometimes fuel upgrades).
Just kidding.......but not really. :D

yeah thats what im saying... he had street tires and spon in first and a little in second... so he MIGHT have a stage one... but ive been in a stage 2 with a couple supporting mods and there is NO traction at all in those... but his trap would still be much higher then a 94...
its ok though he was all thugged out and such... and he is too dumb for his own good... my friend asked "does it have a computer" he said "no just a stage 2 kit"... so if he doesnt know a stage 2 comes with a computer then he needs to read a little more and take his pillar and stickers off :)...
funny story but i saw a 3.0 beat it... :)
