I couldn't believe my good fortune earlier today. I was on a divided 4 lane road with stop signs when I noticed a black w/white stripe mustang up ahead. I caught up to him at a stop sign. Then I noticed it was a Shelby GT500. While I was checking it out he sort of punched it through the intersection while I watched. At the next stop sign I put it in auto stick and when he started to go I mashed the pedal to the floor. After the turbo kicked in all I saw was him in my rear view mirror. He slowed down and wouldn't catch up to me after I had slowed down, so I turned off and he didn't follow. All in all, it gave me a good grin and adrenaline rush. :)

I think our cars are faster than those stock. It's just not fair with your setup!

Plus He had no idea what you have lurking under that hood, Nice..

I should make a new thread, but don't want to make an endless posting of kills. I just dropped my granddaughter off at her house and was on my way back home and it starts raining really hard. I notice a Subaru WRX behind me so I gun it a little and he proceeds trying to catch up. I let off and we hit a stop light with him next to me. The light turns green and I think all 4 tires must be spinning on mine for quite a while, but he can't keep up. The next light we get stopped and all their windows come down and theirs like 4 young Asian dudes in there. They ask what you got under the hood of that thing? You could see the awe on their faces. I say a 6.1L 420hp all wheel drive, stock from the factory. They look perplexed, so I add and a 81mm turbocharger. Then they all nod, the light turns green and I blow them away once again. What a great day for me! I'm so unfair! :rolleyes:

I drove an 08 GT500 and few weeks back and didn't like it. It didn't feel like 500hp. Our Jeeps are faster, especially off the line.....although 50-100 they take us. It's a heavy car, top heavy, steering blows, brakes suck cool looking but not all that IMHO. I bought my M3 in place of the GT500 so that should say enough and that's got only 333hp.

Those things are crazy heavy too!
