: Mondello Stg3 Cam results @ Irwindale
sarge 05-01-2009, 11:08 AM Paul and I met up at Irwindale last night for some great rounds of 1/8mi racing. I also wanted to test out the new Mondello Stage 3 cam "Whitehemi" and I installed over the weekend. I was hesitant to try a new cam because of my success with the HHP Stage3 cam.
I still do not have a final tune and this cam has definetly upset the long/short fuel trims. However the results were very positive. All three runs showed the same improvement...a 1/10 et improvement and the mph is up almost 2mph in the short 1/8 mile!
Not bad for a "prototype cam" swap of an already proven hot camshaft.
Next week I take the Jeep to Sacramento for the final "hands on" tune by Bob@SVS. There will be two days of racing at Sacramento raceway. It appears that the N/A record may now drop to 11.5 at over 118mph..:eek:

Oh yea!!
He runs faster than me but his reaction time is of a 90 year old man..lol!! So I edge him out by driver reaction time.

Its a Comp grind that Joe worked with them, obviously an off shoot of the 278grind. The timing is much different as is the lift and LSA. It is designed to hold the torque longer. I will post the dyno sheet after SVS tunes it Thursday.

Nope not gonna make it...picked up some OT for Saturday.....getting quite a few mods this week but no time for a tune and Sarge is leaving Wed....i work Wed....
