Hello all. I think I have a trade deal worked out on my truck. Their truck is a red rock 07, nav, dvd etc. It has only 16,xxx miles on it. One rim was rashed up but because of corrosion they are going to replace under warranty. I have to drive three hours to make the swap at the dealer. I have gotten many pics and it looks great. I just wanted to know if there is anything for me to be aware of or double check? Thanks guys

Check the inside of the front tires to see if they are separating.

I would check the following......

Curbed wheels

Tire tread wear (insides)

Mods?

Interior (smoked in?)

Paint quality

Miles

Location (harsh winters or hot sun?)

Factory options?

Both seat warmers work?

Any speakers blown

Service records

Has anything ever been replaced (tran. or rearend, TC?)

This is what I would look for

When you testdrive hold the brake pedal down for 1-2 minutes with gear in "D" and see if Service 4wd system appears on the Dash! Mine ony shows if i`m standing still too long at a redlight?

If so it can be either the Tcase going bad or a actuator in the Tcase.

I have no slippage and neither warranty so my solution too this is i never stop too long at the red lights;)

O ring replacement that usually goes out on transmission fluid reservoir (or somewhere else where it leaks tranny fluid). Shift control modules can crap out and light up the PRND, bushing on upper mount of front differential shreds and causes loose drive train feeling. That and all the t/case stuff you read above.
