First off let me say i am not overly computer smart (just another dumb canadain lol).I am interested in buying a gc srt8 in the next few months but can't find any up here so was going to start looking on ebay. problem is i can't find any site online that tells me what is required to import a car from the U.S up here. any help with a web address would be great thanks. Also i have read that these are goin to be a limited run vehicle and was wondering if anyone knows when they will be discontinued? thanks

Montreal canada here expect to wait longer than if you were in the us if you order from scratch , but i would definitely recommend you give Chrysler a call and simply ask them which dealer has one on the lot and they can also tell you what color and package it has . Then you can filter out which dealer to call remember this is the most precise way to search jeeps inventory in Canada so call often cuz results may vary day to day
by the way here is the phone # 1800 465 2001
ask for the $ 50 rebate and get 50 off any mopar accessories

Yeah, they are hard to come by in Canada. I live in calgary and got freaking lucky. I went by Varsity Chrysler in the last week of april and they had a loaded, red SRT8 being shipped out on May 3rd that no one had put deposit down on. I quickly haggled them for a few k off then put down a deposit.

am from Manitoba. Have a sold unit being built in June. The guy wants to add 22's plus anything else that might look good onit....$ no object...NHL hockey player who already has a viper.
Anybody have a line on aftermkt rims that will work?
BTW phoning chrysler won't do any good to locate one, you have to find a dealer who has one, or can dealer trade for one (highly unlikely due to short supply) or has one comming in.

Nobody down south will be able to help you.
No problem to import from the states-I just bought a 05 SRT 10 RC Ram-saved 20K.
Go to transort canada and riv (registor of imported car in Canada) you must make sure that the car is allowed to be imported and what has to be done to get it registered. EVERY VEHICLE IS DIFFERANT.. Warranty will probably be void in Canada.
All my pick-up required was day time running lights-Canadian Tire is the authorized dealer to do all conversions.
Wait a year and the SRT-8 Jeeps will be cheap on the used market in the US.
I would not buy one in the states-new-the savings are limited and every dealer around will have these soon.

Even if there are none currently at teh dealerships, can't you goto the different ones and see which vehicles they have on order? They are still delivering them to Canadian dealerships. I know of 2 black ones coming in to Varsity chrysler in calgary within a few months, and apparently another one was going to Eastside Dodge, with another going to Lethbridge.
