I need to quiet down the Borla S a little bit. I like the sound personally, my condo board does not. What are some suggestions that I can do to quiet it down. Is there something I can throw into the mix to "control" the deep throaty sound at all?

You could have some generic resonators installed.

Autostick is your friend. City driving, it drones in D and in gears 1-4. Try 5th gear, it keeps the rpm's under 1500 and no drone.

No headers?!?!? Just Borla S? Man...your condo board sucks!! Only suggestion I could think of is add a couple resonators.

I guy on the 6th floor in my condo says he knows when I start mine, everytime. I park on the first floor.

Can't you putt putt that thing around, when your close to your building, and get away with it?

Coast it? The Borla S already has a resonator type ordeal, so i dont think that would work. I would join the board and say hell with it. My buddy lives in a condo, and he has a cobra with borla stingers NO -CATS, and his buddy has a gallardo, and i have a Borla S with no resonators on my Jeep, and no one has said anything...nor would i listen if they did ;)

ye +1, screw em, tell em to man up and deal with some sexy ass american muscle, who honestly is that stuck up they dislike the slightest sound, honestly just cuz they're on board doesnt give them leal rights to force you to modify something you own does it, or did yo agree tom something without reading ;) lol either way join and say f u haha or just dont listen and make em call popo then take em to court, sue em all and own the whole complex hehe ;) I'd try it haha, then again some say im crazy :)

Hey, tell them that the Borla S is legal with respect to the decibel output so..... "take a FUC#ING hike!" LOL

Install a cut out and run it open for a few weeks. Then close the cutouts and tell them that you quieted down your system.

Yea put cutouts on it or open kooks headers and take the Borla off

I like that idea...matter of fact that is what I already have. My homeowners association won't say $hit since I have put those board members in their place complaining about the dumbest stuff I have ever seen. They are so quick to give you a violation for not cleaning up dog $hit but when cars get broken into they turn their head. ***k them I will continue to drive by the presidents window and gas the pedal every chance I get.

sell it and pick up a borla t. hey, have you had some visual mods done lately? there's a guy rolling round town murdered out. heard he was living over in Plum Creek tho. Also was told that this particualar Jeep sounded like it had some work done as well. anybody round here???

The main problem the board has is when I start my car up at night time in the underground garage it literally shakes the building. I went into my unit and had someone else start the car and I heard it. I did join the board, but I am over powered by old people who dont like loud noises.

What is the difference between the Borla S and Borla T? I would like to keep the fat tips the Borla S came with, but quiet down the exhaust a little.

I really dont want to have to buy a new exhaust and then sell this, I would rather "implement" something into the setup to "tone down" the exhaust.

Any ideas?

leave it the way its is an smile everytime u start ur beast bc we all have the sickest ride ever. tell them to deal with it bc its perfectly legal. im sure there are some imports equipped with fart cannons around there to. my friend has the loudest mustang i have ever heard and nobody says anything.(full slp loudmouth exhaust w/headers/cams and 410 gears). maybe they will learn to enjoy the sound of true american muscle

Maybe the problem is in the building construction(which we all know can't be fixed). A Jeep SRT at idol with or without a Borla shouldn't be shaking the whole building(unless it has cut outs). Tell them it's legal and not going to change so they need to adjust to it.

I think it's going to be pretty bad either way. With my Jeep in the garage even with stock exhaust there is no question whether the 2 clicks of the remote start went through in any room in my house.

I would buy Kooks Headers with Cat-Delete.......Cut off the Borla Resonators...Cut off the Borla Mufflers....and drive it in 1st gear at 5,000 rpm's whenever you leave or come home to your condo. When parked...Give it a nice 3-4 nice Rev-Limiter revs......, This should solve your neighbor problems

Wait till you hear mine after today. Having my B&B resonators taken out and replaced with straight through 8" long bullet race mufflers. Its going to sound SICK with long tubes, no cats, straight midpipes to bullets and 5" tips

why everyone dissin the 't'..?? I thought it was great and the tips weren't that small - DC can chim in on it as he's the new owner of my old "t". Not too mention if you put headers onto the "t" it'll end up sounding like a corsa. So even with a full out exhaust setup you can still cruise through the neighborhood. Everyone thinks the T is quiet all the time and its not. Its only quiet untill you give it some good throttle

I say the only option is to MOVE OUT of that prison :D Jeeps sound loud stock. I used to live in an apt with underground parking-my neighbors always said they knew when I was coming or going. I can't stand old people-BTW-why are you living with a bunch of old folks anyways??

I pretty much told the board it is not coming off and if they keep bothering me than I am going to file a civil claim of harassment and also report them to the police department to pursue charges of criminal harassment. My cop buddy told me that he thinks if he put his decibel meter next to my exhaust that it would be within the legal limits. However, I do understand where they are coming from...if I had little kids who go to sleep at 8:00 and get woken up by the thunder from the SRT8 I would be somewhat angered...Oh well, that's life.

I'd be careful with the decibal meter because depending on the state it most likely is illegal. I want to say it is like 105 db. I'd contact borla and ask them or do a seach there was a lot of info. on this when the borla s was first brought to the market.
