Kooks makes one that pairs with their headers. http://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/kekekegay.gifhttp://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/kekekegay.gifhttp://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/kekekegay.gifhttp://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/kekekegay.gif

Don't the Kooks make the check engine light come on?

The Headers aren't junk, the CATs are the problem. Kooks should of taken their time with R & D. You don't release a product to mass markets that causes a Check Engine Light. And what pisses all of us off is that they sold them damn well knowing that they were defective. Oh Well, not many other choices that I know of?... Hennessy has Headers listed on his web page for a rediculous price, but I don't know if their custom made or just Kooks???... And who knows if they work either?... Someones got to come out with a fix for the Kooks Headers eventually???... I know Scott from GSM has been working with some people on getting some CATs that work, or some CAT Simms. We shall see, Buyer Beware. JMTC.

Junk, maybe not. But $1,600+ for long tube headers is a bit steep with or without the CEL. KOOKS(with a silent R-:D ) has always been overpriced,IMO. If cats or the reason, why not just use SRT8 cats in place of there own. There are many folks outside the SRT bunch that buy our cats and run them on various applications b/c of their flow capabilities. I really think it's more of an O2 sensor location issue(improper spacing between the sensors).

I believe that I read from the SRT chat one time that all the rear cat sensor is actually looking for is to be "out of phase" with the forward cat. Could this be achieved by moving the rear sensor back? I totally agree that headers / high flow cats should never have been released with this problem. I sure will not touch them until this is resolved.

The problem isn't the headers, one of the cats was damaged and I need a new one. But finding just a catalytic converter is proving to be a problem.

From reading over at Chargerforums.com, most CEL issues have been sovled with "spacers" on the O2 sensors, that pull the sensors further away from the exhaust stream. Could this fix the problem on the GC as well?
