Funny, it took a Cobra with a blower to take on our jeep.

And yet again, they compare SPORTS CARS to an SUV. Comments like this piss me off:

"I had one wanting to play today, but I only have 100 miles on my new Spec3+ clutch....so I was a little reluctant to run. It would not have been a problem on the Whipple 17#'s though"

and

"I had the Z06 and I pulled him pretty good,"

Did you really? Well I would sure hope so. Ugghh!

Anyway, I'm glad some members can give us respect. I wonder how many of them know that Roush produces the front and rear fascias for our SRT-8's?

Those kinds of comments don't piss me off b/c I see them as respectful. Anytime we have Cobra and Vette owners talking about us like we belong right beside them on the drag strip, I get all giddy. Its when they act like we can't run with them that I get angry. But in that particular thread, all I saw was respect.

exactly. Of course that Cobra with the Whipple wouldnt have trouble with a Jeep but any stock Cobra would definitely struggle to win by a car after 100. Even if they are comparing, you gotta be pretty damn happy that Cobra guys take the time to realize how nasty the SRT8 Jeeps are

Roush makes youre front bumper???? No way...

Front bumper, rear bumper, and our side sills are all produced by Roush.

Thats awesome. How did you find that out? No wonder I like the front end so much :D

From the production stickers that I physically removed from the bumpers themselves. They are part #'s with build dates and other information on them.

I will give everyone on that board props. Nearly everyone of them said the Jeep was awesome or amazing or badass, and half of them wanted to go out and buy one! there were only a few that said anything bad.

This pleases the SRT8 gods.

Theres quite a few threads over there about the Jeep. Some of the guys here are registered there as well. I love jumping in on the SS TB threads and giving them hell...

Sounds like someone ran into Hennessey's Jeep on the freeway:

I agree with Omegaman. As an owner of an '03 SVT Cobra, I can tell you that those comments reflect high respect. I will also tell you that with all the torque that the blown Cobras generate, they have great difficulty hooking up on the street, have a heavy clutch that is challenging to modulate, and have an independent rear axle that likes to tramp in cold weather or on uneven pavement, making consistent launches a moving target. Great face-flattening vehicles, like the SRT8s, and with a great blower shriek, but the launch is their Achilles heel, so run them from a dig, at worst you pull a few cars on them before they walk you; at best, they light 'em up, get sideways & its all yours!LOL.Throw in a little rain, snow or ice, and advantage SRT8. SVT & SRT, must be something golden in those "starting with an S" acronyms.

I have to agree. The mustang guys are giving very fair props. Class group on that forum. As for Roush making the bumpers and side rockers. That is very cool and makes sense given how sweet they look. Good piece of info.

I'm not surprised. Roush did a styling excercise on a Magnum a few years ago and another DCX vehicle if I remember correctly.

Wonder if Roush has a contract on all the custom fiberglass on the SRT vehicles? Did they do the Charger, Magnum or 300C?
