: Any Windshield Gurus here? I have a leak...

So I was driving in the rain today and took a corner and I saw a water drip out of my center consel (the piece where the center lights and sunglass holder is located). I thought I might be seeing ****...but I wasnt. When I took a sharp turn there would be a drip or 2 out of the passanger side center consel.

The only thing I can think is that when I installed my Valantine 1 and I was pushing the cord through the headliner from the center consel visor to the get power and ground off the wires in the center consel that I broke a seal on the windshield I just dont see how this is possible. I pulled the consel out and it was a bit damp in the middle of it. Maybe when I pushed the cord through for the V1 hit the seal or somthing? Any ideas would be great... thanks in advance

Doug

Any ideas?

i am with Vinny on this one. SUNROOF.

there are drains that can get clogged or even frozen, no idea where you live though.

but I vote sunroof.

Yeh that can make sence. Maybe the sunroof has been leaking a small bit all along and I just put enough room for it to run out at the headliner when I was running the wires for my V1. Thanks guys.

You could kick the window from the inside and would have a hard time breaking that bead of seal. Some do leak, but like the others say, sunroof. Let the dealer do the water test!

What is this water test you speak of? Is there a chance that it was just open a tad bit?

What nerves me up is that if the sunroof was leaking it was such a small amount that it wasnt coming through the headliner untill I had a little path for it. So it would have been soaking into the head liner and will be getting mildey.... I am not that nerved up about it.. just concerned...
