After having my car for 3 weeks now I noticed something. As we all know the brake pads throw an obscene amount of dust. I'm forever cleaning my rims. I noticed that they have fine scratches on them, some worse than others, almost as if they aren't protected/cleared - are they, are yours? Have any of you noticed the same thing? :confused:

Yes, they are clear coated. Remember, they are polished aluminum, not chrome. The scratches you describe are fairly normal to a point. But, never scrub them when you clean them. They have spray on wheel cleaners but some of them are pretty strong and I don't really trust them. Instead, I wash them with a soft, soapy cloth and dry them with compressed air and a microfiber towel.
