: updated pics of the SRT8 lowered and modded!
renntech36 02-11-2007, 09:24 PM I know some of you were requesting more shots of my blacked out SRT8, so here you go.
Last week I had one coil cut from the front and heated the rear coils at the bumpstops to lower the rear. I believe the outcome is good because it still maintains its rake SRT8 look! The ride is about 10% harsher, but not bumpy, just sporty!
So just in case you were wondering, the mods are:
tinted taillights with the reverse part not tinted
blacked out bumper lights
tinted 3rd brake
powdercoated black 4.25" exhaust pipes
MOPAR cold air intake
2WD switch
EBC green brake pads
lowered suspension
rear muffler delete
shaved antenna
50% front window tint
blacked out window and door trim
powdercoated semi gloss black wheels
fully debadged
K40 Calibre Bluetooth Radar
TCM flash
low beam HID conversion
high beam HID conversion
fog light HID conversion
silverstar turn lamp bulbs
and the pics, creative criticism welcome!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

GodfatherSRT8 02-11-2007, 10:00 PM Very nice. I like the full HID's.
Se7en 02-11-2007, 10:46 PM That's looking pretty mean!
The truck looks sweet lowered but I'm not sure if I'm sold on the black rims yet but the polished "srt" on the wheels looks really nice. I also like the they way you blacked out the tails with the backup still exposed.
Thanks for the comments on the lowered "ride", how is the handling?
Thanks for the pics!
kramsay1234 02-11-2007, 11:00 PM Now that is blacked out. I am wanting to black out my window trim, so I am a long way from where you are.
I see you ran out of black paint on the rear bumper as you forgot to paint the park assist sensors. ;)

renntech36 02-11-2007, 11:12 PM lol, I actually got scared about affecting the sensor and making them not work!
as far as the handling, it feels a tad more stiff through the corners, but not a drastic change in the drive of the SUV at all. I am really pleased with the outcome, because in person, it completely changed the look of the truck!
I will get some daytime pics, I am just always so damn busy during the day!!!
OurZoo 02-11-2007, 11:15 PM Looks really tight!!!
Hallstar 02-12-2007, 01:38 AM I love the truck man...looks great and mean as hell!!! Intimidating Look...Scary even to normal people!!! Did you align after the chop or was it fine...I'm ordering the eibach kit and chopping the front 1 coil like the other guy did...their springs seem more progressive and will be less harsh than factory I hope!!! Are your HIDS 6000k or 4300k they look whiter than mine which are 6000k...You are an innovator...Great Job...
