This stuff is the best product I have ever used. It is awesome for keeping the car clean in between washes. It's only like 6 bucks a bottle.

If you're using an acrylic finish (vs. say a carnauba wax), Sonus Acrylic Spritz is great too.

Hell, I figured you would let the paint wear as is, kinda like the tires. LOL :D

LOL....Nah, if you breath (or pass gas) on my paint I'm gonna clean it.

I've used all of them and the Eagle and Mothers "Showtime Shine" are the best that I've found. Meguiers is nice too.

I use Adam's Detail Spray. Regardless of which one you choose though.... here's a tip. When your vehicle is all washed, and you're ready to dry it, (I use a waffle weave microfiber to dry), spray your detail spray over the top of the water that is to be dried off. Then wipe with your drying cloth. It's easier to dry, and leaves an excellent additional shine on the surface.

Good tip ge2.

One thing that is different about the EagleOne W&S it's primarily for cleaning the car in between washes. You can spray on a dry car, directly on bird s*#@, pollen, light road salt, bugs, etc. and wipe with a dry terry cloth towel. Obviously not for major washing but the perfect spray to keep with you at all times. The only type of road grime it does not work well on is tar (it just smears it for some reason). It's great on all else.

I should get some free bottles for pushing the stuff.

I also use a large waffle weave microfiber for drying. I'm going to try your idea with the detail spray, sounds like a great one!

Where do you buy the waffle weave towels?

I buy most of my detailing supplies from autogeek.net.

Ok - I have been reading this thread long enough that I now have to ask some questions. I have an underground parking garage with no water access  so I can't wash my truck when I am home. I have heard of this product called Dry Wash and Guard or something that is a dry car wash that you can use that apparantly won't scratch - even black.

Is this Eagle stuff comparable or only for a quick detail if the truck is a little dusty/dirty? I have Meguiars Quck Detailer that I have used when claying a vehicle, but I can't see that this stuff would clean a dirty truck and if it would it would use a whole bottle.

When I drive in Toronto slush, road salt slime, the thing looks terrible by the time I get home. But this is dirt on there and road splash with salt etc. Are you guys saying there is a product our there that I can use to wash my black truck underground with no water and it will look good and not hurt the paint?

If so, what is it and where do I sign up?

You my friend have hit on the great Canadian dream ... a waterless car wash !!! Mine get's washed every saturday morning at 8:05 am after my son's hockey camp ... by 4:35pm that day it's white again after driving home from the local slopes, thanks to our provinces decision to use brine in lieu of rock salt.

I'd be real careful using anything on the truck if it's got any built up grime. Without water, you're going to risk a serious issue with swirling, IMO. The quick detailers are really made for touching up a clean vehicle.

That is my thought unless someone wants to prove me wrong.

I carry this stuff in my vehicles. I wouldn't use it on a really dirty car, but it's fine for in between washes with a microfiber.

I use the Sonus Quick Detailer to touch up a completely clean car.

The Eagle W&S can/should be used without water but it's only for light cleaning. It does not take the place of water car washes. It just helps you clean in between washes. It also puts a protective coating on the car in which water will bead but it does not take the place of old fashioned polishing or waxing either. Again, just light cleaning.

See the link for a product (EZDetailer) for actual waterless cleaning/waxing. My wife was at BJ's wholesale club with her sister. Her sister had just driven over a freshely painted double yellow line and splashed up yellow paint onto her back SUV. It just so happened that there was a guy doing a demo of this stuff in the parking lot of BJ's. My wife said he used her sister's car to demo the product. All of the paint was removed. My wife bought me a can. I used it yesterday on my wheel wells and couldn't believe how it cleaned without water. I then used it on the nose of the SRT8 which has taken a beating this winter. It was incredible. My wife bought her father a can too. He swears it's also the best window cleaner he ever used, since it can be used on all surfaces. I just ordered some more. The downside is the minimum order is 6 cans. I have not yet used it on the whole car but was impressed enough to already order some more.

jland, does that EZdetailer contain abrasives(microcompaounds/ rubbing compounds/etc)? It seems it would if they state it removes stuff like oxidation. I'm trying to stay away from abrasive cleaner type waxes until my paint is showing wear.

SRT8 - Here is what the EZDetailer says on it. Please let me know what you think.

Carnuba Enhanced, Clear Coat Safe, Lubricates Dirt, All-In-One Waterless Cleaner and Wax, Precaution - Contains Petroleum Distillates, Contains no CFCs, Meets VOC Requirements.

jland, You could tell if it contained any abrasives by rubbing some w/your fingers. If it feel slightly gritty, then it contains abrasives. It may not, but the notion that it removes oxidation & scrathes makes me think it might. It's very common, a lot of off the shelf waxes like Maguires Cleanerwax contain abrasives. These products are great for scratches/worn/oxidized/fading/overspray/etc.
