Well I am VERY HAPPY that my dealership ACTUALLY came through on diagnosing my demonized SRT-8 (black one in my sig). They had to call in a Vehicle Electronics Specialist to find the problem. I had no idea there were such people, but apparently they are part of the DiamlerChrysler merger. They are StarSCAN specialists that soley work on vehicle electronics at the repair level.
After searching through the electronic modules on my truck, they narrowed it down to two control modules reporting strange feedback. In the end, it was neither module, but my ENTIRE TCM/Shifter console!
This explains why my truck would exhibit these strange behaviors when shifting into park/reverse sometimes.
Needless to say, I'm very happy that they went to such great lengths to fix my truck. If anyone needs their SRT-8 serviced don't hesitate to use Martin Jeep/Chrysler/Subaru in Turnersville, NJ!!! :D :D

same EXACT thing happened to me except it would randomly throw me into limp mode while i was driving
had some definite "oh ****" moments turning onto 50mph roads in traffic
