: Holy Shift
FastSRT8GC 02-09-2007, 10:49 AM Got my Trans update and wow what a difference. Quicker manual shifts by a huge margin and the auto shift is much fast also.
They also did a CPU update for the engine. Anyone know what this one was for?
THanks
was in for service yesterday, oil change and change both front and rear differential fluids. No TSB's done? are they just selective on what they do maybe next time I will ask.
Tom C 02-09-2007, 12:25 PM Jeff:
They will only do the TSB if you 1) ask them to do it...2) complain about the symptoms addressed in the TSB or 3) demonstrate that the car has the problem addressed in the TSB. Depending on the dealer, they may require just one...or all three.
Tom
FastSRT8GC 02-09-2007, 02:40 PM Yes, by reading this site i knew to ask for it. That was the main reason it went in.
But you would think that is free EZ work for the tech. If it is still the same as when i worked for Toyota every thing is in man hours. We would look for all kinds of things to do to the vehicles.

The flash could be available now. A few weeks ago I was told it was due out in a couple of weeks. It is AH revision for the TCM. Let us know.
Bill
waydennis 02-10-2007, 07:03 AM Your '07 may already have the TCM flash applied. Put it manual and see if it upshifts to 2nd. If so, you have the new firmware.
holeshot 02-10-2007, 09:50 AM Thanks for the info guys, Ill check this out.

Wrong, sorry. Mine up shifts to 2nd, but is the AE revision. The new revision will eliminate the few issues such as hitting the rev limiter on shifts.

TCE LONESTAR 02-10-2007, 10:05 AM mine di shifts up to 2nd on the manual mode, so that means that the TCM has de flash applied ??
FastSRT8GC 02-10-2007, 10:08 AM Yea, my 06 hit the rev limiter. Now it does not it just upshifts on its own.
Quickly also. I didnt realize how bad it was till the flash was done
asphaltcowboy 02-11-2007, 12:12 AM what do you mean about second shifting i have a 07 build 11/06 it shifts into 2 but still hits rev limiter ever shift

Just searching for stuff to make my jeep better.. Do you know the specific tsb that they did?
I want to get mine done but dont want to be unprepared when I go to the dealer.
the shift one is TSB 21-020-06. I'm having it done at the next oil change. Found the TSB on www.wkjeeps.com what a great resource that is. going to bring the print out with me to the dealer next time.
TORQUER 03-27-2007, 03:36 PM Hey guys, anyone STILL having shifting issues AFTER the re-flash. Mine still over-revs on the 2-3 shift. Also in auto mode under full acceleration it short shifts at 5600-5800 rpm from 1-2. If I start in 1st manually and accelerate and shift at 6000 it shifts where it is suppose to. When left to shift on its' own after manually starting in "1" it shifts between 5800-6100 rpm at 1-2 shift. ???????
