Just thought maybe we would do something different... Maybe its never been done before.. if so that makes it even more cool and brings this forum alot closer... i see a bunch of good guys on this forum sharing a same passion and interest in cars and our rigs... i want to start a small time raffle for a mod that cost 250 or less...

I figure we either sell 50 raffles for 5 bucks a pop but that may take to long..

So id prefer 10 bucks a head...

Jay (srt8 4 u ) mentioned he has all of the mods i took off the top of my head... what we would do here is have the person select other and choose his own mod....

what i was thinking was to have the forum web page up with the time on my computer showing in the bottom right... take a video of me pulling a raffle out of a hat or something of the sort... and at the same time post the WINNER and jot down the time... this way on the video we will see the time and the time of the thread match....

Just an "outside idea"...by some strange reason we cannot get 25 people at $10/ea for the $250, maybe do 17 people at $15/ea for a $255 total (if my math is correct) or even 13 people at $20/ea for a $260 total. I say the # of entries per raffle should be limited- I agree it should be more of a fun thing-not a way to get something at a discount. If we did a $500 Mod at $10 a piece-then I say 3 or 4 per person if desired could buy their spots(so to speak). Unless we get get up to a $1K Mod-i think entries should be capped at 3-4 tops IMO So you take a chance at a $500 mod and spend $30-oh well. $250 mods should be one per member unless we can't fill the sign up sheet quickly. I think we should allow a certain amount of time for the drawing(kinda like a deadline)-that way if spots are still available-you guys can jump on them. Just a thought..... I know myself-I get anxious and just want to play and see if I win :D

As for the last few questions about members buying multiple entries. I say thats fine. that allows it to fill up faster and I'll laugh when they guy who buys 1 entry wins over a guy who buys 10.

I can create a baseball fantasy league.... i will create a 25 team league... schedule a draft and have the fantasy league predetermine the draft order automatically.. who ever is first wins... :)

will take a few minutes from everyone to sign up etc but that a real good way

jay and i (srt8 4 u) were talkin about this the other day.... months back i sent him a payment and he got hit with a fee b/c i think i paid with a credit card... but the next time i sent him a payment it was by bank account and you didnt get charged right jay?

guess its not the end of the world but 60 cents for 10 bucks is a big fee if ya ask me...

so i suppose the final amount will be around 265 or so...

I don't see why it would be an issue for ANYONE if the fees were to be subtracted from the overall total; especially since we all know it IS going to be over the $250 mark anyways! :)

Yep just pay out the total you get in after fees. On the Supecharger Raffle I did state if paying by paypal the entry fee would be $106. this should cover the fee. But I will have a print out of the paypal account and will forward it to the winner so there is no issues. Like you I just wanted to have fun and allow others to have fun getting the mods they want.

I say pay out what ever you get in and if there is a issue just send a copy of the paypal account showing the fees. Honestly I think everyone here knows about fees on paypal, not that I nor probably many others understand what has a fee and what doesn't.

That sounds about right...companies are always switching the details of their services to squeeze out a little extra money. It really teaches you not to "expect" anything. Last time i used paypal there was no fee for bank account transfers, only credit cards. Now i guess it doesnt matter one way or another. And you know the fee doesnt come out of the sellers pocket when they sell on ebay, they jack the price up. Yet when i sell i dont. So i get screwed as both the seller and the buyer. Yeah Paypal is in essense scamming us right now. They made us pay a fee then denied us the service that the fee was meant to pay for which is no different then all those other scams out there. Ill take your money and give you nothing in return.
