HI guys again this its the second part of my movie desicion desicion i start with the thread 07 or 09 and i decide it will be 09 but now i have another problem which one i should pic the black pearlcoat or the silver clearcoat?
the black with the red brembo brake look brutal but the silver i know it hold more the dirt and the scratches so which one you think i should buy thanks for your help.

ps. base on maint.,looks,resale value of colors and preference of the people if i decide to sale it in the long run.

These rigs are already attention getters. But a freshly detailed black SRT8 would be snapping necks. Nothing beats a detailed black vehicle. If you dont want to keep up with twice a week washings, then black is not for you.

I have a black truck and keeping it clean is a bytch, but after a detail the black sets off the rims like no other color.

Black looks awesome clean, if you can keep it clean go for it. I'd prefer silver, easier to hide dust/dirt, scratches, fingerprints, water spots, pretty much everything.

After owning a Charcoal Black jeep, and now this silver one...I def like the silver a lil more becasue I dont have to be constantly washing it....if its your DD go for silver..a garage queen, go black!

Black is faster.....you should think about that!

Don't even get me started on keeping my Jeep clean. It's a beeotch..... but DAMN does it look hot when it done!!:D

Black is hot, I will NEVER own anything silver, way too bland for me.

Silver shows the body style of the jeep way better than blackand ofcourse less washind cycles.
Black only looks cleaner bcuz its black you know, but have fun washing it daily to maintain that look :)

my bro has black and i have silver, he washes it daily and i wash it 2 times a week hehe. Nice.
my silver shows the body work and beauty marks while his black looks plain. Nice.
Silver is the wat to go, IMHO.

why its that the black are faster, its that real? kokaane i know that in production the make more black than any other color and i think that is because its the color of choice in sports car but the color make you faster? or make you look faster ?thanks

I have a black jeep i drive it only when its sunny but its a pain in the ass to keep it clean i usally wash it after 4 times of driving it

simple...black if you want to pick up women, silver if you want to pick up men.

Silver will hide stuff better but oooo does black look good after a wash/wax

I'd do the silver over the black pearl-not a big fan of the black pearl. Brilliant Black on the other hand-looks great. SRT8 looks good in silver but better in Bril Black :) Black shows everything-so keep that in mind also. The best pearl color out is Inferno Red FTW

Easier maintenance is silver, better looking/more attention is black. If you don't like washing your car, get silver.

I don't wash mine and I have black. But, I like to ride dirty. :D

I always like black but never wanted to try and keep it clean especially since it will sit outside. I like silver a lot but it is a very popular color in general.

Black is a hard,hard color to take care of,it takes a real good detail person to keep it up,or it goes down hill fast,Silver is a piece of cake,really its black and white...what about other color

Black, but no kidding about the washing. I wash mine everyweek and all it does is sit in my garage.

I think I have washed it more than I have driven it.

I went from a black 07 jeep to a silver 08. I dont think I hand washed the silver one yet in the year i owned it :D I just take it through a touchless car wash and she's clean as a whistle. You see no streak, hell there's no scratches because I dont ever need to wash it by hand. In the chicago area with our weather for a dd you need silver. Now if its just for a summer fun car/weekend toy than def go black :D

Black is the fastest color, But like many have already said, it takes a lot to keep it up, Silver is great and is a very forgiving color. I wash mine once to twice a week, break out the porter cable and polish it every 3 to 4 months. I like the silver but the black pops when its detailed, but when its not, it looks like crap. But most of us are OCD when it comes to these things. Post pics when you get it.

now dress them tires! :D I'd go nuts trying to keep a black one clean but nothing like a deep dark shine. I had an inferno red Magnum and I loved that color.

Yeah I know I know.... I took that picture after finishing the paint correction and hadn't done it yet. They're always dressed to impress though!

ok i read all of your comments and thanks. the thing is that the black that im talking about its not the brilliant black that i think you guys have its the black with pearl coat that even clean it look that i little dirt but in the sun it look brutal, im living in puerto rico, an island that have two bad things one no discount on gcsrt8 2009 and second rain every day so i think im going the silver way. thanks again

I agree with most here. Brilliant Black with the red calipers is hot. Keeping it clean, esp in Chicago, sucks. I was going to get silver because there were no black ones in the area with the options I wanted. It just didn't feel right. So I drove 1.5 hours away to get the black one. I don't regret it. When it's clean, wow. When it's dirty...well, at least I know I won't get any tickets cause it won't attract too much attention!

The color is a cool rusty orange with direct sunlight, and more of a wine color when its darker out.
