ive seen this truck around town a few times and hes given me a thumbs up so im sure eventually ill get a light with him

My friend Rich has the Regular cab 6speed srt10 white w/blue stripes limited edition and he was talkin super **** to my cousin about a possible run between him and I...I've been trying to corner his ass for like two weeks and finally got him to run tonite!!! Immediately he started whining about my awd and him spinning so we agreed that first we would go from a dig and then from 20 on the highway!!! I have a catback and intake on my jeep and he has a drop in and catback so it seems fair...From a dig I jumped out about 3.5 cars and steady pulled up to 100 to about 4.5! Of course he was whining but I told him you still got the highway so lets go...from a 20 mph roll we both punched it and I pulled him to about 1.5 cars and kept increasing the entire time up to 140 ending up at about 4 total... So QC Srt...Leave a message...it won't be close!!! Hallstar Tint & Detail
P.S. The only car I have lost to so far is a 2005 SLK 55 with a renntech flash on the highway...light to light...I kicked his ass!!! No one will race...they are scared...HIDS Scare them!!!

I disagree, A QC SRT 10 wants to have some mods to even run with us. As far as taking over after the launch, the truck has the same house-like aerodynamics as the Jeep, so I don't see that happining.

The single cab fares better, but he wants to have the "driver mod" to make a race of it.:)

I've run against 2 regular cab SRT-10's and pulled them both 2-3 lengths right off the line & continued to pull away slowly to 80+ mph. One of the SRT-10 owners said simply that he had a "few" bolt ons but was not specific. My GC SRT8 has a Mopar CAI.

the best the truck ran was 13.7x @101. My Jeep will consistantly run 13.5x @103. Not all that much but still faster all the way around. The srt-10 defiently weighs more. The seat of the pants meter tell the story as well the jeep feels much faster.

I dont know if the referenced srt10 owners cant drive or what, but I have both; an 05 srt10 rc and an 06 srt8 gc. quite frankly, there's no comparison. i have a cat back and cai on the srt10, and there is no way the srt8 keeps up, exluding out of the hole. if you look at all of the mags times, this is confirmed; srt8 just slightly slower in the 1/4. and i must admit, driving the 6 speed beats the heck out of the automatic srt8, even if the gc is much, much easier to launch.

The 06 GCsrt 8 is slow compared to my 07' unless it has had the trans flash...I definately call bull**** on that statement that the srt rc is faster...prove me wrong though...lets meet up and you can show me some v-10 power since we are mod 4 mod(cai and catbacks) I'll make it worth your while...The last guy that was bragging on his white and blue striped rc srt10 is still having nightmares about the ass whooping he received two nights ago...bring your 06 jeep too just in case the ram runs out of gas...2 for 1...I guarantee that once I put a nice 2-3 out of the hole on you that by the time we get to 100mph it will be at least 5 and once I start braking you'll probaly start closing that gap but whos to say...and since its an automatic it must be less manly right? I'll be telling my girl how you think while shes camcording and i'm rubbing her leg with my right hand...multitasking while driving=beating ram srt10 fun!!! Maryland Baby...Let's do it!!!

Car & Driver tested the GC SRT8 with the following results:
0-60: 4.5
0-100: 12.0
0-130: 24.0
1/4 mile: 13.2 @ 104mph
5-60: 4.9

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/10848/2006-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8.html

Let's analyze the results... a .4 sec advantage in 1/4 mile for the GC. That is an eternity. Yes the SRT10 is faster by .1 to 100mph. But it is so far behind that it will not catch up until well after the 1/4 mile. I would have to project the SRT10 overtaking the GC somewhere around 115mph.

I couldn't find a test for the SRT10 in Road & Track...although it is doubtful it would eclipse the GC's 0-60 of 4.6 and 13.2 1/4 mile tested.

I even looked to Motorweek to try to find a test where the SRT10 beats the GC.... no such luck:

http://www.mpt.org/motorweek/reviews/rt2527a.shtml

Please name the publications that tested the SRT10 faster than the GC SRT8 (the SRT10 owners club newsletter doesn't count). I have nothing against the SRT10...in fact ..it would be my truck of choice if I were to get a pick-up. However, I find it humorous when people make grandiose statements without ANY evidence in support.

It was a 06' and it was lowered with exhaust...Pretty truck but that 4 speed auto sucks!!! We went from 60- about 125 before the srx started playing the sweet song of radar!!! Started even...We used the 3 horn go and I stretched him easily to about 9-10 cars!!! This truck is fun...

I own an SRT-10 and have been following both the SRT-10 and SRT-8 closely. I got to beat the snot out of a GC at the SRT Track Experience. Everything I read says the GC is quicker and faster (stock vs stock), and that's what my seat of the pants dyno says too. I'll keep my SRT-10 because banging the gears at full throttle is just about as fun as it gets, but I'm eying a 2008 or 2009 GC as well.

I was looking at the data from the Car and Driver road tests (posted earlier) and the SRT-10 beats the GC by 2 seconds to 130 mph, that is a pretty sound azz whipping up top.

The SRT-10 also has a big aftermarket thanks to the Viper.

From light to light the SRT GC is hard to beat, but so is a Subaru WRX, but from highway speeds it looks like the SRT-10 Ram will walk it.
