As every other project in my life, I just absolutely grenade any conservative plans and go ape sh!t, question is, would you guys wait until warranty ran out. I have another 40,000km's to go.....

I'm not sure if I should just do a 426 & ported intake first, or the stg III heads/cam/intake, or just do the ported intake or now. What is the concensus regarding warranty. I cannot resist the mods, it will be done to the nuts, it's just defining the time frame to do so:D

Thanks eh, game on!!

you have already went to far... so ive heard they flip out over a t-stat... not alone tune, intake, exhaust, etc...

for example: i think if your alt. went out they would blame the pulley...

well, to give you an idea....I still have my warranty. at first i was trying to go throught the mod process slowly. CAI, T-stat, exhaust, heads....then i got to a point where i sad F it. why wait for the warranty to expire (in my case 6 yrs/100,000)? the only reason i go it was to cover the expensive fixes (trans, motor, etc). seeing where i am now, the warranty wouldn't help much on my NAG1 htcK or my PPP 426. lol my only advice is....do not buy an extended warranty and put that money into mods. ;)

it really depends on the dealership you go to. you can look at my sig and my mods and they didnt give me any problems at all getting warranty work done. i guess some dealerships are more forgiving than others. i do think once you get into internals the warranty is any good anymore

Allright, fair enough, f*ck the warranty!!!! Next q, I have no dyno or ability to fine tune my srt8 here, closest shop is 600 miles away and they havne't done a thing with srt8's. So, how far would you go with no dyno tuning ability. I could do a a/f guage if it heps for odd build acceptions like mine.Trans and transfer case beefing, currie 9" rear end, 426, sgt III heads cam intake, twin screw or centrifugal, I'm up for everything and in between. No nitrous though.

The local Dodge dealer has been quite good with mods and warranty, but that may change since this vehicle didn't come from them.........

Get an AF gauge and any good tuner can get it right without a dyno

well you will definitly need to get a good base tune to go off of first then it's a matter of datalogging and email tunes in your case. definitely have a wideband so that you can monitor AFRs.

you still can get a warranty even if you are moddin like mad....id just go with a small time warranty.... obviously you will be voiding some things with your modding but you still will cover your sunroof motor... power seats etc if ya get my drift... just my 2 cents
