Just had my first kill in the jeep and first race so I am 1/1. My buddy just got a 09 m3 hard top vert. dct, very nice ride. Anyways we were at my birthday dinner and we were leaving and he starts sayin hey lets run em. It was killin me cause I had the wife in the car and she is not down for any messin around =( So i told him to meet me at the house. Dropped the wife off and went to a safe spot I know of. I was nervous at first because I also own a
e-46 m3 vert and know the new m3's were faster and my old m3 is pretty quick, anyways we lined up and I decided no power brake just straight slam the gas. After the launch I was a good 3/4 to 1 car ahead couldnt really see much but his light out of the corner of my eye. Around 75 or so he started gaining I was still half a length, at about 100 he was nearing a 1/4 length behind and we started runinng out of road. i had taken victory=) although I was suprised how quckly the jeep got unsettled under heavy high speed braking compared to other high end cars, but ultimately it stopped fairly quick. I pulled up to my buddy smiled, and he starts cryin how he did not get a good launch, so I asked did you use launch control? he did not know, so I got out and showed how to use it. We lined up again, and I was nervous this time considering he was not using launch on the last run. This run I could hear his engine holdong rpm's so I knew he was engaged right then he left the line early, I slammed the gas and still jumped right in front holding a solid 1/2 to 1/4 car the entire run. I pulled next to him and he said damn that things fast I said I know. I was so stoked to have my first race and smoke my buddy on my birthday what a great night.
Btw, my jeep is a 07 silver bone stock no mods, but working on getting a magna charger soon......
