It's the first real mod that I have in the works (I don't count removing all the badges-- yes, even the SRT-- as a real mod)..... I still am waiting on cost and delivery date possibilities on the B&B exhaust, so I'm not sure when I'll get them put on, but I just picked up my ovals from the powder coater. Very happy with how they look, and I am very excited to get them mounted up.

Ok-- I did not modify the exhaust at all, just lopped off the old tips and put these on. I'm digging the look

Those remind me of the factory "sport" exhaust option that a freind of mine has on his Audi RS6. Now it's one less thing that needs polishing!

Exactly! Now, once I can find some new wheels that'll work, I can eliminate 4 more polish-needy things too :)

I'd be interested in your wheels (stocks)!

I'll know this week where I stand with the two wheel companies I'm speaking with. Shoot me an email at gerickson2@comcast.net, and we can work something out with the stockers if I get something worked out this week.

Sure thing man. An e-mail will be comming from lilnickbagg@yahoo.com

Also, I love the tips! How much did it cost to get powercoated? I want to get a tip for my car (since I have magnaflow) but I can't find a tip I like since the Laredo bumper is square and has no exhaust cut-outs.

Ditto the stock tips are cool.

I agree... the stock tips are VERY cool. It's not that I don't like them at all.... I just prefer aftermarket stuff to stock in most cases.

Was it easy to remove the badging? I know a lot of the time it's just glue, but in some cases (Acura) there are holes behind the badges where prongs go in to help line up the badges. I wanted to remove the JEEP on the hood, but would hate to run into that problem. Do you have any pictures of yours?

I will take a nose picture today. There are no holes anywhere under any of the emblems on the Jeep-- just 2 sided tape. I had all three emblems off in under 5 minutes, with no left over residue at all.

That's good news. I'll have to take some time and remove them when I get home today. Did you just use a hair dryer to remove them? My SRT is black, so I'm very weary about surface scratches.
Any news from B&B yet? I called up Randy who's car they used to create the system, and he told me it sounds 100% nicer without the resonators. I emailed B&B to see about availability and pricing, but haven't heard back yet.

I used a heat gun, and it was a breeze. With these vehicles being so new, they come off so easily, as the tape hasn't yet had time to really cure completely.

I spoke with Randy about the exhaust as well. He said in the $1000 range, but didn't have an exact production date yet. He said that their kit is approx 2-3 times louder than stock. For me, that's a bit much, so I'll either be sticking with stock, or having something custom done.

I think the black tips look cool but you got to get the black wheels. If you are interested in any American Racing Wheels let me know. Stripper Motorsports is direct with them and I can get you a discount. Give me a call 1-866-708-7744

Thanks,
Chad

Thanks Chad... you've been busy in here the last 24 hours or so. Te black tips are off now, and the magnaflow tips are on. As for the wheel offer, I appreciate it, but I've been in the wheel game long enough to know that AR wheels aren't for me. Thanks though, and good luck.

I like the way the polished tips pop on the black srt, but on silver those tips look nice, a bit of an "all business, no bling" look.
