waldramos 03-20-2009, 01:18 PM ok this is the problem i found a gcsrt8 2007 0 miles that the bank can give me interest of a new car for 40,000 and the 2009 that cost 52,000 both are brand new my questions is which one should i buy? the 2007 it depreciate more because its 2007? should the 2009 changes worth 12,000? thanks in advance for your time and help walde
SRTYA 03-20-2009, 01:25 PM Where are you located? They both seem way high! However IMHO no there is no way I would pay $12,000 more for an 09.
promo718 03-20-2009, 01:27 PM i would get the brand new 07 and use the extra 12k to pimp it. just make sure it really is brand new and has no dealer miles on it.
waldramos 03-20-2009, 01:29 PM im in puerto rico
Knuckles 03-20-2009, 01:31 PM ok this is the problem i found a gcsrt8 2007 0 miles that the bank can give me interest of a new car for 40,000 and the 2009 that cost 52,000 both are brand new my questions is which one should i buy? the 2007 it depreciate more because its 2007? should the 2009 changes worth 12,000? thanks in advance for your time and help walde
Yeah that is way too much for both Jeep's! You can fly out here to Chicago and buy a loaded 2009 for about 40,000 and still have money left over to ship it anywhere in the country. I have seen 2007 Jeep SRT 8's with under 10,000 miles for 28 to 29K.
waldramos 03-20-2009, 01:41 PM my only concern is, if for some reason a have to sale it, which one you think i could sale it faster? do the 2007 for be 2007 maybe people think its too old even its brand new?
waldramos 03-20-2009, 01:45 PM yes i know knuckles i was in daytona beach for bikeweek last week and i find one for a very good price but the problem was that here in puerto rico the tax was 9,000 dollars so basically im f......k i think.
BOYCHIKS 03-20-2009, 02:10 PM I'd say if those are the best prices you can get, then 07 and save the rest of the money... But those do sound extremely high!
Knuckles 03-20-2009, 02:53 PM yes i know knuckles i was in daytona beach for bikeweek last week and i find one for a very good price but the problem was that here in puerto rico the tax was 9,000 dollars so basically im f......k i think.
Yeah that sucks bro! Well I would get the 07 then and do some mods to it with the rest of the money. Because I feel that it would be easier to sell your 07 versus the 09 due to the value of it. Because not alot of people have 40K in CASH if you decided to sell your 2009 used. You know. So to me it would be a lot easier to sell your 07 if you have too.
Buena suerte brother!
shorestyle031 03-20-2009, 03:05 PM u can get the 07 for like 35k maybe even lower
waldramos 03-20-2009, 03:24 PM i know shorestyle maybe in the street but this one the 2007 its 0 miles and it give me 3 years and 36,000 miles warranty since its not registered i try to negociate with the guy but ! it said " i been losing a lot of money in that suv and aint not going to loose a buck more" so it tru me out, jajajaja
kokanee13 03-20-2009, 05:00 PM 09's are way nicer, and that's not bad. they are still 65,000 here
BlackJeepSRT 03-20-2009, 06:26 PM I'd go for the 09 and try and get it for $50k. Even at $12k, I'd probably go with the '07 because of the price difference, but I think $10k is enough to jump to a '09. Remember, with the '07, when you drive off the lot, it's a 2.5 year old car. Not sure how warranty works out there either, but it should go by the in service date, not the year.
aplatero1984 03-20-2009, 06:35 PM I'd buy this instead...

jsjahonda(big BK) 03-20-2009, 07:54 PM get the 2007, save the EXTRA $$$
waldramos 03-21-2009, 03:41 PM thanks guys this is it im going to the dealer in two week so please keep posting what i should do and blackjeep thats my only concern the thing that right out of the dealer i have a suv 2.5 years older
Donnie91 03-21-2009, 05:24 PM i'd go for the 09, its nicer brand spankin new and its hard to spend 40k for an 07 when you can get one for about 28g's now...i couldnt justify dropping all that money on a 2 1/2 yr old car when you dont have to
rumplemenz 03-22-2009, 11:48 AM if you are already thinking about SELLING if before you even BUY id suggest you go with the 2007... 09 will depreciate like mad and the 07's have already taken a big hit
ALSO it appears you havent looked into the true market value of not just this rig but any vehicle... no car on this planet is selling for MSRP ...lol...
52k for an 2009? thats hysterical...
even 40k for the 07 is a JOKE....
get an 07.. save your money... and pay a lot less than 40!!
good luck
waldramos 03-23-2009, 07:40 AM i know rumplemenz but here in puerto rico their no that many jeep dealer that have it, thats why these mo...r f....r try to rip me off thats why i ask for help of what to do because i know thats the difference here are 10,000 to 12,000 in each model because a saw in orlando fl one 2009 for 44,000 with the rebate and a 2007 for 29,000 but if i bought it in florida the taxes of that suv are almost 9,000 so one way to another i think im f...k jajajajaa thanks for you help
WBSRT 03-23-2009, 07:46 AM If the money is not an issue, Id get the 09. If it is then the 07.
rumplemenz 03-23-2009, 12:15 PM i know shorestyle maybe in the street but this one the 2007 its 0 miles and it give me 3 years and 36,000 miles warranty since its not registered i try to negociate with the guy but ! it said " i been losing a lot of money in that suv and aint not going to loose a buck more" so it tru me out, jajajaja
did this guy seriously tell you HES BEEN LOSING ALOT OF MONEY ON THAT SUV AND I AINT GONNA LOSE A BUCK MORE? lol... ahahahahhahah...
thats fckin funny...
the guy obvious is an idiot.. im sure he said that same line 6 months ago...
The fact is you offer him what makes you happy... not his azz...
I would buy the 2007... you will have the same exact warranty as the 09... less bells and whistles but whats most important is getting your azz into a gcsrt8... you dont need to over extend yourself... a brand new ride in this market is not worth it...
save yourself 12k or around there like you said...
ALSO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO YOURSELF
"Is an extra 250 bucks a month really worth it to have an 2009 over a 2007..?"
NO WAY bro..!!
The 07 looks brand spankin new anyway... nobody will no the difference...
its a no brainer kid... stay away from new and put extra money in your pocket....
good luck
a990dna 03-23-2009, 12:46 PM Personally I would go with the 2009... a good guess is that 2009 may be the only one in PR. Review the production numbers in the attached link and decide for yourself..
The 2009 has extended leather and performance gauges.. you can make your own 1/4 race track wherever your heart desires.

MD 44 03-23-2009, 01:08 PM The 07 model to the 09 model - it is essentially the same Jeep.
I don't t know if anybody else thinks its weird but the 07 Jeep (with 0 miles) must be just sitting on this dealers lot for almost 2 years now.
waldramos 03-23-2009, 09:40 PM thanks guys for all the help
