12.9 on a properly prepped track, cool air, no heatsoak, good launch is certainly possible and has been done.

I have video of MikeT doing 12.8 with a slightly modded stock airbox, 180 stat, pulled ABS fuse and a Diablo 93 CAI tune in Florida heat. He launches with a quick 1200 rpm stall in autostick mode.

I tried the same and only got 13.1 with my Bwoody CAI.

I have never been able to hit the 12s but I am in AZ little hotter here and not at sea level.

While there haven't been tons of 12 sec stockers, there have been a few. When i had mine it went 13.0 @ 103mph with just over 500 miles on it. No mods what so ever. The fastest i can recall (i think) was Cobrakid and somone else (i forget who)12.85 at E-town with a -DA.

I hit 12.8 @ 106.4mph in my '09 just after installing my BWoody 4". It's my only mod. I only have 400 miles on the truck and it was 45 deg outside. 0-60 said 4.3 on another run. That was as per my dash indicator. It was on my first few runs on a "closed road" not a track. Who knows how accurate that really is but whatever. I didn't do any runs prior to the CAI so I don't really know what difference it made. It does feel much more responsive with the CAI on it. I am more than pleased with it.

Like I said this wasn't at a track with an official time slip so the accuracy is without a doubt in question. But it was nice to see those numbers...

That's insane!

I have an 09 and have the performance meter in the dash...I will be hitting up englishtown in a month or two and when I do I will test the peformance meter to see if it is accurate

I just edited this to "12.8 at 106.4mph in the 1/4mi". I checked my car today and that was listed as my best. Like I said, this was on the dash meter so who knows. Still pretty cool for a stocker.

I'm pretty curious to know how accurate this is too.

You should check it at the same time, then you will know how accurate it really is.

That would mean gettin' my ass to the track. The chances of that are slim. Till then I'll just assume it's NOT all that accurate(although I wish it was).

Or you can spend crap loads on headers intake tune, etc like me and struggle to get into the 12's like me because I run on probably the most junk track in the US lol and cant get there when its not 90F out.

^^^ How about a cool spring day and a little race fuel...that may get your times down....Your lucky you have a track nearby...The closest for me is 2-1/2 hours away...Al

How do these vehicles pull from 120 and up??? What is the top speed for a stocker???

12.76 completely bone stock at ATCO. That being said, I had the mecca of racing conditions (i.e -DA, cold etc...) There is a thread on the the "other" site about this.

Do a search on "ATCO 12/8."

I tried to copy/paste/post the link but it would not allow me.

Haven't run it since...it now sits in the garage! Plan on keeping it for a while. Look forward to keeping up with this site!

Not too bad considering the aerodynamics of a brick:D I have done about 160 in mine with a few hundred rpm left. I have seen a few run mid 160's.
