OK, this has to be the most rediculous driving adventure of my life. I spent all weekend cleaning the SRT and decided to take it for a drive yesterday as the weather was awesome here in KY. Just as I got up to speed on the parkway and set the cruise on 73, a turkey flies directly into my path. Yes, you read correctly! A freakin turkey. This thing was huge and I did have time to touch the brakes but I pretty much hit it at full speed. It bashed in the front bumper just below the grill. The body of the turkey went into the lower air intake knocking out the bottom grill. My bumper cover is also ripped at both of the mounts at the bottom corners below the fogs. This sucks so bad as I have only 13000 miles on an 07. I rarely drive it and it doesn't even have a scratch on it! I went to a couple repair facilities today and no one hear in KY knows what to do. I don't want to replace the bumper cover, I just want as little paint work as is possible. Some people at the body shop have the opinion that repairing rubber bumper covers is a mistake as it will peal/crack/blemish in the future (expecially in hot summer months). Anyone have similar issue and can provide advice? Repair or replace? I am just sick over this as I am sure you all can understand! Thanks!

What color is the Jeep? If it's black, don't worry about paint issues. They can match black pretty perfectly. My Jeep is basically the 6 Million dollar Jeep with what I went through with my hail storm damage. Call your insurance company and see what they say. Defintely get a new front cover for sure.

I think that one of the guys on the forum had the same issue but it wasnt a turkey.. Posting up pic will help.. But i will say replacing it will be better in the long run.... Might cost you a bit more....

definately replace the front bumper cover, and don't worry about it.
My RedRock had a new rear BC, and the body shop had to fix my rear dr side rear hatch pillar.
It had 2 big dents in it, talk about sweatin the paint match....... came out perfect.
I was happy and impressed...and it is RedRock.
P.S. a trailer with a boat backed into my Jeep while we were at a restaurant.
Good Luck.... bad turkey!
