I read about which and why dealers suck....here is one that did the right thing.
I'll give you some history as to my problem, In July of o6 I bought an 06 Inferno red JGCSRT8, upon getting home the next day I discovered that the right rear quarter panel was painted [lesson learned, don't pick up your truck in the dark] there was primer under the clearcoat, whick tells me that the person that repaired it didn't do it right. I went back to the dealer, saw the sales maneger and filled out papers and was told that I would be contacted, needless to say I wasn't contacted for about 6 weeks. I went back and was told to meet the service manager, well he jerked me around for the next 4 months, in the mean time I met with Jeep rep's and they said it was a dealer proplem.
Come January, I called the owner of the dearlership. He answers the phone himself! I explain to him the story and says he'll call me back that Friday, he did! I met with him on Tuesday the 15th. after seeing it he agreed that there was a problem we met again Friday the 19th. Monday the 22nd he calls me to say he came up with a solusion can I come in the 23rd, I did go. He said that I can have an 07 red rock fully loaded. the catch was... I had to pay for 4k miles I put on it and the differance between an 06 to an 07 which was only a few hundered $. I picked up my new truck on the 24th.
I know this is a long thread, but equal time for a dealer that did good.
The dealer is WESTBURY JEEP, on Long Island, and the owner is Joel Sporn. He went over and above to see that I was happy, THANKS, there are companies that believe that customer satifaction is pramount.

Thats very impressive actually. Nice to hear people out there that do the right thing for their customers. I wouldn't doubt if you or anyone you know needs a MOPAR product in the future where you will be going.

They still jerked you around for quite some time. It should have been rectified by the dealer immediately. I would have pulled my freakin hair out. I still wouldn't buy from them in the future. Happy that you are happy though.

Zoo....your right it should have been taken care of sooner....I'm glad the problem was something that didn't pervent me from driving this great machine only paint work. 6 months is a long time though. I might be crazy and a rare one that has not only driven an 06 and an 07 but have owned both. I feel the 07 rides and handles better. I'm just getting used to the color, red rock is no inferno. a trade off I will learn to live with. Stay tuned for the mod's to start!

Ron - What did they charge you for the mileage?

$0.50/mile I'm assuming?

Barho...can you believe .18 cents a mile = $720.00 and $550.00 for the differance for an 06 to an 07 a total of $1250.00 a deal I could not pass up

Good to hear they finally took care of you. I just picked up my Red Rock 1 month ago. You need not worry now, the Red Rock is the "TOUGHEST" paint. :p

the owner knew he could never sell the red rock, now he's got your inferno which should sell quick!! haha just kidding, I am very surprised the owner offered the trade ayt cost, thought you were going to say they just repainted it!
