I read about which and why dealers suck....here is one that did the right thing.
I'll give you some history as to my problem, In July of o6 I bought an 06 Inferno red JGCSRT8, upon getting home the next day I discovered that the right rear quarter panel was painted [lesson learned, don't pick up your truck in the dark] there was primer under the clearcoat, whick tells me that the person that repaired it didn't do it right. I went back to the dealer, saw the sales maneger and filled out papers and was told that I would be contacted, needless to say I wasn't contacted for about 6 weeks. I went back and was told to meet the service manager, well he jerked me around for the next 4 months, in the mean time I met with Jeep rep's and they said it was a dealer proplem.
Come January, I called the owner of the dearlership. He answers the phone himself! I explain to him the story and says he'll call me back that Friday, he did! I met with him on Tuesday the 15th. after seeing it he agreed that there was a problem we met again Friday the 19th. Monday the 22nd he calls me to say he came up with a solusion can I come in the 23rd, I did go. He said that I can have an 07 red rock fully loaded. the catch was... I had to pay for 4k miles I put on it and the differance between an 06 to an 07 which was only a few hundered $. I picked up my new truck on the 24th.
I know this is a long thread, but equal time for a dealer that did good.
The dealer is WESTBURY JEEP, on Long Island, and the owner is Joel Sporn. He went over and above to see that I was happy, THANKS, there are companies that believe that customer satifaction is pramount.
