Since there are so many repeat questions on certain topics, I would like to propose that we implement a process to determine which threads should be added as a Sticky (should it be a vote?). For example, lately the most common new threads seem to be about winter tires, the TCM flash, how much should I pay and what aftermarket wheels will fit our ride. Should some of these, or others, be a Sticky? Any thoughts?

I vote for no democracy. :p

If someone feels like a thread they start or a thread they post in should be a sticky, they should call out the request and let the moderators decide if they want to do so. The mods should be responsible for making those decisions, IMO.

EDIT: In the spirit of full disclosure, I've been here for less than a month, so the value of my opinion is pretty much worthless...

I'll definitely forward any ideas posted here to the higher-ups for consideration. That said, as a member....... I hate stickies. They are like the disclaimer on a pack of smokes (and no, I don't smoke)..... people cruise right past them to get to the good stuff. This forum has one of the best search functions I've seen in a forum, and I use it quite a bit. Remember-- this is just my personal opinion, and if the masses want more stickies, I will gladly see what I can do to make it happen.

Funny, I actually agree with everyone's thoughts so far. Everyone is making sense. I must need more coffee this morning. As an alternative, maybe we need to call out the Search feature by making it more obvious.
