So I got bored and got a hold of some '08 headlights...I think I'm going to go with this scheme...I was gonna paint it all black but decided to leave the high's reflective....

I would've left the area around the projector chrome too.

Looks pretty sweet I think. Lots of guys doing cool stuff with headlights lately Im kinda jealous. At first I didnt like the highs and lows different but Ive stared at them for like 5 minutes and its definitely growing on me. Post pics when you put them in the beast that will be the true test.

Oddly enough I was staring at my 08 this morning when I left to try and picture how it would look like that.

I'm really on the fence. On one hand its been reliable (this time around) and fun. On the other hand I'm starting to see them all over the road and I know the service is a nightmare if something should happen. You wanna get rid of a car while the going is good know what i mean...

hell man, i buy cars to drive them till they break...the nice ones i try to maintain for years to come. ;) guess it's all a matter of what your intentions are in the first place...resell or keep forever. i am all about keeping this ride forever. ;)
p.s. those headlights are definitely different...

Go ahead and try it out, IMO it adds more depth. It's nice to have the ability to switch them out if you decide later. good luck!

I think there is a difference in the chrome trim piece on the inside as well, not just on the cover (meaning that "gap" is a part of the trim piece as well), but I could be wrong.

Now THIS is an interesting question. I am curious as well...before you put the lens back on it might be necessary to put something in the "gap area" to make it look a little better.

To the OP, You could prolly look at the black projectors from ebay that are for the 06-07 to get an idea of how they will look on the car. Its not a direct comparison but would be close. There are a couple guys on here that have them, just search for "projector" and there will be a couple posts on the first page, we have been talking about them a lot in the last 2 months, mostly cause of me:)
