Wasn't sure if I wanted to do this to the srt8, the nose is deep enough to hold the whole plate without looking cheezy, but I still think the "euro" look is nicer. Been doing this on all my personal vehicles for 20 years, no grief from the feds. A buddy of mine is RCMP, he said as long s I'm civil I won't get hassled, has proved true so far, even spot check vehicle inspections.

Holes are covered, not bad eh??

I don't follow. Did you cut a rectangular hole in your bumper cover so that you could put the entire plate behind the hole?

looks like the plate was cut, or folded

Sorry for the lack of description, and the sh!tty pictures to boot, lol! What I did is fold the plate, done this many times. I ined up the lower section below the numbers on the edge of my shop counter for a nice clean bend/fold, don't bend too far in case the fold isn't even. If it looks good I fold it all the way flat. Then, I do the same for the top section, but only bend to 90 degrees, nice and flat. You'll want to use the plate as a template, to line up and center on the bumper. Once centered and lined up to cover existing holes, use a felt pen and fill in the slotted holes on the plate, marking the bumper. Once you remove the plate you can drill for the screws perfectly centered. Drill the holes, thread in/out the screws to get the threads started, now put on the plate. Use a gear wrench or socket, center and snug, fold down plate so it's flat. Use some descent pressure, not that easy to get. Completely flat fold but it will be close. If you're good at it you can do more folding of the top section before installing and contour a bit of a curve to it that matches the shape of the bumper. It looks much better, especially with vehicles that have a thin grille section the plate sits on, I hate that. If it helps I can do a better pic, I have the plates from my mustang for a step by step. I do this on all vehicles except the company trucks, I haven't done one yet that looked better before.

LOL, agreed even better but it will get you pullled over here.

I swear doing that to a plate here would cause more attention and a greater chance of being pulled over than if the plate was just left off all together. I cant believe you have never been hassled for that.

I don't know why but it doesn't attract attention, if I left it off I'd be fine until a road side inspection. The wife's flex

There really isn't a vehicle it looks bad on, no plate is better though.

Hate to break it to you, but the cops at the Vancouver Police Department will issue you a fix it ticket for that! Apparently, it is against the law to mutilate your license plate in any way. This includes cutting, folding, drilling, etc.

Just a heads up... I like it though... I may do the same but jam the plate below in the opening above the front lip.

You can't hack up a license plate. It doesn't even show the state. Local police might know what it is, but out of state troopers will not. I don't have a front plate. I've driven in NY, NJ, PA, and CT without a warning or ticket.

Looks a lot better than a normal plate.

I ran without a front plate on my Mustang from 03-06 and was issued a warning once. I never mounted the bracket on my Benz for the front plate and was warned once by Sheriff Deputy. The wifes Durango has not had a plate on it since they came in, the damn dealer had a tag on front though and there are 3 holes and the same for the jeep. that plate is in the garage with the bracket waiting to get bumper plugs.

i like the idea of it being smaller but just dont like the plates on the front at all. way to go for being different!

Almost a shame to leave it outside, close to -30c / -22f, where's the damn block heater cord?!?! Even though no plate looks the best, this IMO does look better, and it is not completey unidentifiable, the province description is in between the #'s and letters, but still illegal if the officer was in the mood.
