Got my Gorilla wheel locks today...anybody know what the wheel bolts are supposed to be tourqed too. TIA

What do you mean by "(+/- 15 ft. lb)" I guess its not an exact science?

The plus or minus 15 ft lbs is from the shop manual.
I set my click torque wrench at 100 and forget it.

Thanks for your help BuilderBill...they look way better than stock. Recommend them for anybody not willing to get there wheels stolen. I live in a nice neighborhood in south Florida and left my car in the driveway overnight unlocked and had over six hundred dollars worth of stuff stolen from my car. Im not willing to loose anything else off my car.

My 07 Jeep SRT8 came from the dealer with 2 sets of wheel locks. :)
Last year a set of rims and tires was stolen off a Jeep SRT8 right in thier lot. They came in one morning and found the truck sitting there on cement blocks. :eek: At least it wasn't left on the ground.:D Now they put 2 locking lugs on each wheel.

Every have a wheel lock shatter/break? I had a Gorilla lock break on my WJ and had to have it cut off so I could rotate the tires, it was not pretty... There was damage to the wheel when they had to cut it off!

The wheel locks were never over-tightened by spec. and the wheels were always rotated at 6K miles!

It would have sucked to have a flat on the road and never been able to get the tire off and the spare on...

I will never put wheel locks on another vehicle!
