Just installed my DUB CAI today. Firstly the quality of this kit is very good and the fit and ease of installation makes it a snap. The polished intake tube looks great and the red in the kit matches the red 6.1L on the valve cover very well. I got compliments from everyone who walked by while the hood was up after I put it on. :D And while I was installing everyone was impressed with the parts quality.

When I drove away, I wanted to hear if I could tell a difference in sound between stock and the DUB. Well I can tell you the difference is unreal. :D I step on it and there is is deep "WOOOOOOOOHHHH" and I instantly starting grinning. I had heard that there was an improvement in sound at WOT, but I was not expecting that at all. Really does sound like I installed some aftermarket exhaust. But of course if you drive normally, you cannot distinguish from stock.

I am a very happy camper and would think anyone else who goes DUB will be too!

2 enthusiastic thumbs up for this kit.

Hey that looks great.I just did mine yesterday also.Surprising how quiet it is with normal driving.Dubair still owes me the small hose.I went to the hardware store and got a piece of red air hose.They said they would send it right out.Easy install.

Depends on the beer coefficient.

Beers Minutes
0 ========== 30
2 ========== 40
4 ========== 50
6 ========== 60
10 ========= 90
16 ========= we'll do it tomorrow

(I only drink 24 ounce cans, hence my beer count increases only in multiples of 2)

How long did it take to install?

I was in no rush so it was probably 1 hour.All the hardware they supply is top of the line.The box that they supply to sit on top of the OEM lower box has a small opening in the back left corner that I spent extra time making up a rubber filler piece to completly close off the box from any engine heat.I don't think it means anything,but thats just the way I am.This is about the 10th CAI unit I have used in the past years on other cars or trucks and I am completely satisfied.The service manager at my dealer ship is trying to get me to buy the Mopar setup.I have nothing against that setup,but he said they could do the CAI and Exhaust for about $1900. installed.So far I have spent $285.00.I like my numbers better.To tell the truth I like the sound of the OEM exhaust.Sorry of I'm a little long winded here.

I would say you can do it in half hour no problem. Not really anything to it. The hardest part is keeping your fingerprints off the intake tube. But I spent about an hour.

once someone I was with suggested rubber gloves, all was good. Like delicate surgery. little extreme since can just polish after it is done.

Now I am trying to imagine the sound of B&B exhaust with the DUB....hmmm....:rolleyes:

Monday morning I will be at the dealer looking for my covers.That is if all this snow we are getting right now goes away,otherwise I would be there tomorrow.(Sat)My Jeep stays in the ****** in this weather.I know what you mean though as I have the stainless SRT door sill covers and some don't.Go figure.

I had to buy both the SRT sills and the headlight covers, although the dealer was kind enough to cover the cost of the $10 covers.

Well I made it to the dealer today and open the hood and ask where are my headlight covers.The service guy said hey we have an SRT8 in service right now so lets take a look.Sure enough it had covers.While I was out there I noticed that it had the Mopar exhaust,so I had them start it for me.Sounds good.I didn't think it was that much louder than my OEM.I think I will wait to get more miles on mine before I decide to change. I only have 500 miles on it right now.Anyway they ordered the covers for me. Thanks agian for the heads up about the missing covers.

I see no DUB logos anywhere. Are they simply stickers that you can choose to apply? (Like the ones i have seen on all of the other pics) Or did you remove them yourself?

kramsay1234

it comes with a DUB sticker you can apply if you like. This is cleaner, but its personal opinion.

So I've had the DUB on the truck for a week now and have to jump on the bandwagon, the truck sounds even meaner than before at WOT (really growls now). The combo of the B&B catback (no split seams yet, fingers crossed!) and the DUB CAI is just incredible, I've had another Jeep SRT8 and a CLS 500 stop and ask me what I did to the truck within the past week!

CAI looks really nice especially with the red accent. Glad to hear it was an easy install.

I'd love to hear about performance or mileage differences. (After the initial thrill rides of course)

IMO performance gains would be not detectable, unless coupled with full exhaust to complete the flow equation. For now, mine is for the look and the WOT sound. I have never been a believer that CAI's make much difference in performance, but with 420 base hp, it will be hard to feel 2 hp gains.

I'm with kramsay, but I must say that I did do a number on the stock '07 I ran into the other day, so I think there is some difference with the CAI AND catback combo; as far as fuel, I have a heavy right foot and love to hear the truck growl, so I'm not a good one to ask!
