It would have been nice, but no the Grand Cherokee is what it comes with, Im trying to find someone who will make them with the SRT-8 logo.

You should have Stainless "SRT" sill plates on both front doors, not the rears however.

My 99 ML430 had several issues when new. My 00 ML55AMG's Nav. was DOA & it had the standard grille inserted in place of the AMG version. I will gladly admit my 06 GC SRT8 has been perfect for the 3 months I've owned it.

It is supposed to come with stainless steel door sills for both front doors. You can only see them when the doors are open, and they are embossed with the SRT logo.

There aren't any sill plates for the rear doors but if you want rear ones you can buy them as a Mopar accessory, but they don't have any logo or writing on them, just the same twin-horizontal-line-design as the front. They also have front ones that say Grand Cherokee.

My 2007 does not have any stainless/chrome sill plates. Are they available in the aftermarket?

My SRT8 came with only the passenger door one installed when I picked it up. The dealer ordered me one for the drivers door and it took over 6 weeks because it was backed ordered. I did get them they came as a set so now I have a extra one. The driver and passenger are both the same. If you have troubles getting one let me no and I will try to get it to you.

You should have your dealer get your front door sills as they should have been included. They can be ordered through any Jeep dealer as they are Mopar accessories, also some mailorder websites have them discounted.

Mine came with both up front and nada for the rear. I might just add that to the mod list.

This type of item sometimes gets swapped out by the dealer (or stolen by dealer employees). It may not be a DCX issue in every instance.

There is no way the Chrysler stopped putting these in so I will be going to go back to the dealer to get mine installed. Not only do they look great, they also protect the paint from people stepping in and out.

I just spoke to my dealer who said he had information that Chrysler was having problems with them staying on so they stopped putting them on the '07's. I don't buy that for a minute. You would think if they were falling off there would be tonnes of threads on here saying it. And even if they were coming off, I think that any one of us would have no trouble re-attaching them.

I now have them calling Chrysler to see what they say.

I got them on my truck, I have an early (september build) 07

I am being told that Chrysler is no longer putting these on the '07's. I confirmed another new truck delivered to my dealer and it also did not have any SRT door sills on either side.

Can anyone else look into this with their dealers in the US and see if they can source some? I would really like to have these on my truck.

It looked a little weird at first, but it appears that they are doing the same thing on a lot of their cars.

I have srt ones on the 07 I just picked up although the pedal covers were in a box.

I picked mine up last week and it did not have them. I haven't seen the pedal covers mentioned. Does someone have pics of them? I don't think I have those either.

My first SRT had the pedal covers on. THe second one had them sitting in a box....and I asked the dealer to put them on.

I just heard back from the dealer that Jeep told him that they quit installing the door sills due to cost cutting measures. He is not happy with that answer so he is escalating to another person to see what the "F" is going on.

I was told the same thing yesterday from an SRT customer service rep. He said that beginning with the Q4 2006 production cars that the door sills were removed. I have not had any luck finding them even if I wanted to pay for them myself.

I may have some news...stay tuned ;)
