: Took a fella for a ride and...

Went to a local dealer to have a tech help diagnose a vibration Im having. I took him for a ride so he can hear and feel what's going on (ie vibration / rubbing). Made a few launches with me driving and him driving. 1st launch I drove - when we got back he said he was informed that I was stroked and also that he has an EVO with a boost controller that he launches at 5400rpms but he was in no way prepared for that launch!!! Said he didn't realize the back of the seat was that far behind him, must've been sitting up a bit...LOL
When he drove it, I had to tell him to stay in it through second gear, he kept letting off then getting back on it easy. Im not sure if he was scared of it or just cautious...
Since the dealer was kind enough to lend their time, I told the manager who knew of my jeep from a car show they had that once I got it fully tuned and running consistently right on that I would bring it back and let him take it out.
One final note - before I got there he told me to stay low key so I made sure I drove slow and kept cutouts closed. BUT when I was leaving he just had to hear the cutouts open... There aren't many vehicles street legal that sound as bad a$$ as a nice, loping 426 with cutouts!!!

dang J, you sure are a nice guy to be offering to let Dealership service techs drive your beast...someone other than me in the drivers seat of the beast is a rare occurance and one i try to avoid at all cost. ;)

Hell yeah Jason, we need some WOT launch videos:D

Videos as soon as I get it tuned to run 'peak' consistently- its so sporatic that every launch is different. Depending on how it launches determines the rest of the run; sometimes 2nd falls flat and sometimes it pulls harder than
1st. 1st gear is completely dependent on wheel spin. I think there is still torque management issues. 3rd gear has never really up to par, although its makes the most power in 3rd according to dataviewer - over 720n.M torque. Quickest dashawk 0 - 60 is 3.2 sec.
VEYRON - this dealer may be doing 'warranty' work for me, so im ok with one or two of the fellows driving it. They're completely aware of my mods and willing to work with me. Im also going to offer to bring the jeep to functions to show if they want.
We're in the process of swapping the coupler that sits between the transmission and the transfer case to determine the source of a 'noise' I hear under WOT. Its a rotating assembly that is rubbing off and on that can be heard best on the driver side and somewhat felt around knee - to lower leg area in the driver seat. The more power it makes the louder the noise, hence why were on a holding pattern for tuning.

I suck, I'll try later. If you search 426 with cutouts, you'll see it.
Sorry,
