In the end they explain it with the tire difference. Since the cherokee srt8 comes on all season tires and range rover sport comes on racing tires already. What are the best performance tires to put on my cherokee srt8 to improve my stopping performance to maximum. That is how they do the testing, you know? Also, if you go to a stickier compound your milage and tire wear will be severely impacted. Just FYI... Of course any "Summer Only" tire will perform better than our Goodyears, just like any "Winter Only" tire will be better in the snow. The Conti 4X4 Contact tires of the supercharged Range Rover are NOT racing tires. They are all season performance tires just like the ones on the GC SRT8. The stopping distances between the GC SRT8 & the RR HSE S/C are only 4-5 feet apart. Not really significant in the real world, but both are impressive performers stopping from 0-60 in 115 to 120 feet. OurZoo 02-01-2007, 04:04 PM 5 feet, huh?
