I have never ordered a vehicle before, I've always gotten what was on the lot with a little searching. However, this time around I wanted to get exactly what I wanted from the start...

My question is, when I go to order my SRT at the end of March, what should I be watching for? Should I shop around the dealers close by to see if any of them will be able to get my order in faster than another?

Like I said, I'm new to this process, sorry for the stupid questions if they come across that way... ;)

What I did is place orders in more than one place. It is basicly a lottery, I have one due in mid-March and the other has not been picked up yet.

Or, you can try to find one already in. Most of them will be equipped the same way. Just don't pay over sticker. No need to do that. I have heard some dealers say for an extra 3-5K they will get one quicker. That's just not true.

As far as color; they come black, silver and red. At least for now.

Thanks for the info...that was what I wanted to know. I will be watching for your post. As far as the color, I had heard that they may introduce the blue sometime in March, if not Silver or Red is fine with me.

The one that is on the way is red. The other is Silver. Both loaded exept rear DVD.

For the most part, I think a dealer will lie to you about being able to get them faster just so they dont lose a sale. Very few dealers have any way of expediting an order... just my hunch tho.
