Chris and I were playing around with our idle's last night and here's what it sounds like when you get home and throw it in PARK. It'll sound like this for about a minute, then for some reason it will re-correct itself and go back up to normal. Well, it sounds good enough for long enough for me. It's my "fake cam" sound!:D No CEL's have happend yet. It does sound pretty sweet in my book. Keep in mind I have headers, no cats, and no resonators.:D

Mine won't run like that. Its got a 950rpm idle, and still stalls out sometimes on a remote start.

Then again though I don't need a "fake cam" idle. I'll post a vid in a little while.

Okay, I am going to grab my predator and do this 'mod'. What's the 'best' amount to trim the idle speed back to? Harrisson has his down by 200 RPM's and someone else posted a 100 RPM reduction.

Any thoughts?

Be careful, it may stutter and die at lights. I've had that happen with lower idle speeds.

sounds interesting harrison, the littleboy sounded Very cool at 500 range.. i was scared to go any lower, had wondered about oil pressure and all.

plus i shot a misfire code within just a few minutes idling in the driveway.

Sorry guys.... been at my buddies beach house since yesterday. My idle is turned down 200 from stock in P/N and 100 in R/D and this is with AC OFF. I haven't messed with the AC on idle. And yes, it was done with my Diablo.

Not bad sound for a few minutes work!!:lol: I pulled up to the little store last night on the way home last night and this UBER-GOOB was standing next to his pretty sweet Porsche Cayman. It was lowered, nice rims, murdered, and exhaust. He heard me downshifting on the way in. I pulled in 2 spots over from him. He said it sounded pretty mean and wanted to know if it was fast. I said, "You wanna find out?" He said NO! What a beeotch! I went in to the store and grabbed a drink FAST hoping to catch him but he was going the other way!:mad: Oh well, I guess he can still say he hasn't lost a race yet!:D

I did that to mine and watch out. I would be driving down the road and my engine would just die, loose all power and chit crash into somebody. It is cool to hear but I wouldn't leave it like that lol

I drove it 20 miles like that no problem with it stalled once at a light but every one looks at it

Yea I couldn't see any damage unless it stalls while driving and you run into something because power steering or brakes go out lol.

Like 100 rpms. It was idling around idk 600 or so. it was fine at first but then I would have to rev it at lights just to keep it running. Changed it back after that lol

had mine turned down but it wouldn't stay like that. It started shooting up in Rpms to stay alive

Could it be something with the T/C or dtrain, i mean maybe our rigs just weren't designed to hold much less than 500rpms, i mean could it be the drag or resistance is too much at the crank that the motor cant continue turning over, its weird huhh, I wonder what it is? Anyone know, Gl to all who try it ;)

First of all, what idle did you guys turn down? I only really turned down PandN idle. I hardly turned down RandD idle. You guys must be turning down the wrong ones. Mine NEVER stalled. Mine is also back to normal b/c I didn't like the oil pressure I saw at that low a idle.

What version are you guys running on your Predators ? Im still on version 19(I think) also what are advantages to newer versions besides the idle of course :D

Well now Ive done it, I was running V19 and downloaded V9_19. Followed the instructions on how to upload new CROM and now my Pred has a error message and wont do crap. Message says to call Diablo Tech so we will see what happens in the morning :(
