: Ordered and Waiting for Custom 2007 SRT8
amaze139 01-30-2007, 06:51 PM Hey Everyone! How's it going? I love this forum and I am constantly reading posts and threads daily. You guys on here offer a lot of great info and experience! Thanka a lot to all of ya!
Im excited to say, I just ordered a black 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, and I am having an aftermarket company customize it for me to my specifications. For the exterior, I added black tint around the entire truck, a Mopar CAI, Corsa Performance Exhaust System, a Race Mesh Grill (Upper, Lower and next to the lights), and 24" wheels and tires. As for the interior, I am reupholstering all of the seats and having them finished in black leather with either red or white suede inserts in the middle of each seat. Both of the Front headrests will be equipped with monitors along with the overhead drop down screen.
I will be trying to wait patiently for the next 6 weeks until I can get my hands on it! Thanks again
:D

OurZoo 01-30-2007, 10:56 PM Welcome. Just understand you can't bring the noise without taking pics!
HoustonSRT-8 01-31-2007, 07:26 AM Welcome. I'm don't see your fascination with rubber-band tires, but I'm looking forwards to everything else.
amaze139 02-01-2007, 12:27 AM Thanks Guys! I will definitely take pictures and post them on here for you to see! I really like large wheels and I thought it would be something really unique to have 24" wheels on a mid-size SUV. All the Full-Size SUV's have them already, so it would be fun to drive up next to them and show them I have the same size wheels and then smoke them off the line as well! haha! Its all in good fun! I will definitely be running the stock wheels for racing though.
Amaze.... I moved to this scene from the full sized scene. I still love big hoops and would love to see pics of yours!
SRedrockT8 02-01-2007, 06:14 AM i've seen a few pics of 24s on our trucks online and think that they're too big. the 22s that ge2 has look just right size wise.

nacnac 02-01-2007, 03:07 PM Selling the stock wheels?
Inferno SRT8 02-19-2007, 05:21 PM Congrats but those 24" rims are going to kill alot of performance, more bling then anything.
Str8Srt8 02-19-2007, 06:07 PM If you were looking for an opinion on the color of leather, red and black is awesome!
amaze139 02-19-2007, 08:59 PM I might sell my stock wheels and may purchase a set of 3-piece 20 inch wheels for performance reasons. I know 24" wheels and tires will kill performance, but thats why I have a set of 22's and 20's. The 24's will only be for show and cruising around. I appreciate your guys' input, and I definitely think I am going to do the red and black interior! I like the sound of that as well! Thanks!

As soon as Minnesota gets some decent weather! We just got like 2 1/2 feet of snow, so all of my cars are in the garages. It sucks! Right now, I am just driving the Suburban with the 20" stock wheels. But once the weather starts to cooperate and it gets a little nicer out, I will take pics of all of them! Not to mention, perhaps a new vehicle I may be attaining... ;)

LMAO.........Look like another K-E-Y-B-O-R-E-D Warrior.........
gafettaia 03-19-2007, 10:10 AM If it is not too late DO NOT get 24" rims. You will be so sorry with the ride. I would stay with 20" rims and just go up one tire size on the front and rear. Don't forget, most DUB vehicles are for show only. If you look closely, the tires won't even turn inside the wheel wells.
A good rule of thumb is to have about 2-1/2" of side wall for proper tire flex over bumps. Trust me, I know from experience. Once you buy a set of wheels fro your vehicle you pretty much own them or expect to give them away at 25%-50% of the original cost.
