Hey guys, I think i want to share this with all you...
During my commute home today I notice an orange Lamborghini Murcielago closing in in a hurry, he got right behind me then got right next to me, we both slowed way down, the guy driving it said, "that's a fast jeep!" I said "thanks but your lambo is way faster!" we gave each other thumbs up and had no cars in front so we both hit it at the same time for a short distance (I had mine in the lowest gear it could possibly hold, 2nd), to my surprise the jeep hanged right there with him for a bit without going over the speed limit ;), but I knew I was in a different league, as I know exactly how fast those things really are. Then he went his way and I went mine, man that car was loud, it was awesome, I felt I was in a movie :D.
(but is not over yet... keep reading :))

From there I went to my buddy's shop to straighten up the new 5" tips I got installed a few days ago. Then about 20 minutes later as I'm getting close to my house who do I see... yup, the same Lambo.... :eek: we were on a very crowded street (the main street of the town), so we both pulled over we got out of the cars and we started talking about the earlier episode, he said "man that jeep is quick..!, I saw the jeep like half a mile away and I had to catch up to you". I told him "yeah all I saw where the head lights getting close to me really fast on a very low car, I knew it was an exotic".

Well it turns out that the guys is friend of some of my friends, he also had a blacked out Z06 that I've seen around my town. Later on I told him about the Street Wars event at E-town on the 7th and he might be going.
Who knows... we might see a video of the SRT vs the Murcielago at the track pretty soon, but don't laugh too hard on how bad the jeep will loose to the Lambo :D.

Anyways, it was an exciting evening today, I don't always get to play with any cars on the road and even less a Lamborghini Murcielago and then got to meet the owner and ends up being friend to some of my friends and I even had the camera to take some pics for you guys... :).

Disclaimer, no traffic laws where broken at any time on any of the short sprints, never went above the speed limit and no animals where hurt either :D.
I promote racing on controlled safe environments as in the events I'm part of our local race track and I don't support any type of street or road racing.

I like them if they're rolled.I got the FlowMaster 5" tips, Rolled and slant cut, very similar to the Borla S, but the slant is not as slant as in the Borla S. I'll take some more pics and vid of my new exhaust set up this weekend to share it with you guys.

I really like those tips even from that small picture I'm seeing. My B&B tips are starting to crack (kinda bad) and Im going to have to replace them soon. I haven't really been feeling the thermal research ones dunno there not for me.

Thats a cool story. I was in rush hour one day and got into a 'cat and mouse' with a brand new ferrari F430. We were under bridge at one point comparing exhaust notes, haha. At a light, the guy was like 'thats a good lookin Jeep. Fast as hell too!'.. Needless to say i felt pretty good that a Ferrari guy gave me props. I mean, Ferraris are the most beautifully designed cars on the planet, at least IMHO.

thanks for sharing a cool experience with us + the pics. I would love to have an encounter with an exotic and on top of it-the guy is really cool too. you are lucky....

it's cool you actually ran into a Lambo owner that was willing to play. there are a few Lambo's around here (mercielagos and gallardos) but none want to play...mostly older guys driving them and obviously they think they are too fast or too good to play with an SRT8 GC. Thinkin my Jeep could handle em pretty good up to 100. ;)

Rog, i feel you on that, i can't get anyone worthwhile to run me around these parts! theres a white R8 i keep seeing around, but can't get beside him. all i get are DBags in hondas trying to bait me. had some jackoff kid in a C63 AMG toy with me, but i had my 6yr old in the backseat so i waved him off.

yea i definitely want a piece of an R8...there is one in town here and have seen that white one as well...definitely want a piece of a lambo, ferrari, and Z06 vette as well. so far have only had the opportunity of playin with a 2008 viper srt10, a 2007 s65 AMG, scoobies, a few buddies srt4's, and a G8. sad to say but the G8 and my buddies SRT4 were the only things capable.

Saw a merc for the first time on the road the other day, it was amazing. Makes a vette or viper look like a 4x4 with how low and wide it is.

I see many Gallardos around here but no Murcielagos (until yesterday) or Ferraris. My dad's friend has a black Ferrari Testarrosa but he never drives it out.

Thanks Chris, yeah I remember that pic when you posted it originally, that Lambo looks nice with the black rims and tail lights. Notice the pic I took of the Lambo and the one you took they are both with the driver side vertically open.

Hey Mario- Did you have to use a piece to step down to match the factory diameter? Or did these just slide over and welded? I seen these online and they say they are 5" out and a 4" inlet...how did you have these installed?

Thanks in advance. They look NICE!!Yes, I bought 2 (4" to 3")reducers from Jeggs. The reducer goes from the 4" Dia on the tip to the 3" Dia. on the pipes.
I'll post more details about my DynoGibFlow setup with part names, pics, vids and all in another thread either tomorrow or Saturday.

Great story! The two seaters are nice but the jeep is more practical. lol

Yes, I bought 2 (4" to 3")reducers from Jeggs. The reducer goes from the 4" Dia on the tip to the 3" Dia. on the pipes.
I'll post more details about my DynoGibFlow setup with part names, pics, vids and all in another thread either tomorrow or Saturday.

I'd give my left pink for driving that car but the Jeep is more practical as my dog doesn't fit in the Lambo
