urntfstenuf 02-17-2009, 12:11 AM Other half & I, may have just bought an 09 JGCSRT8. Finance Manager gave us our copies of the signed contracts. Said she wanted to try a couple more credit unions on Tuesday morning (2-17). they put a SOLD sign on it & told us they would clean & gas it by tommorrow. so if, we do bring it home, who do I contact for a Tune or Preditor, CAI? :D the fun never stops ;)
Harrison@Stage6 02-17-2009, 12:15 AM There are a bunch.... for a CMR Diablo tune there's Andy(MHP), DynoSteve(RDP), AJ(HEMITUNER), BWoody, a few on the West Coast that Sarge knows, SHR, PPP, oh hell, I could go on for hours. There's a bunch. They're all good.:D
urntfstenuf 02-17-2009, 12:23 AM Gotta play be patient, atleast 1 week if we bring home on Tuesday. Fingers X, although contract is signed & we have our copies. :thinkerg:

urntfstenuf 02-17-2009, 12:42 AM so what your saying dude is your gonna have a TBSS & SRT8 JEEP ?! =O
Yup, Because of my Brother who passed away of cancer, he's the reason as to why i bought SS, Love it. always wanted SRT8 just didn't like the $50g price tag. got all the rebates & discounts. so now, i'm better situated to get SRT8 & have both in driveway. :D
1MEANSALEEN 02-17-2009, 12:47 AM sorry to hear about your brother, i wish you the best of luck !
urntfstenuf 02-17-2009, 12:56 AM It's all good, he past away 2yrs ago this April. But he motivated me to buy my own SS, as I was drooling over 1 that an employee had at the cancer center that I took him to for his treatments. you see, i hadn't had a monthly payment for 15yrs as both my GN & 95 Chevy pu were paid for. so in his situation, he stated, you never know what's going to happen in life, so if you like it, go buy it.
1MEANSALEEN 02-17-2009, 01:01 AM amen to that brother!! that's how i look at life also, you never know when it's your time to go.. you only live once make the best of it ;)
urntfstenuf 02-17-2009, 11:02 PM well, I didn't bring her home today (Tues). Finance Mngr stated, that her Lender from Credit Union couldn't make it. :( she will be there Wes morning :D to review paperwork & decide wether to accept or not. after giving 2500 down along with employee discounts & rebates, signing contracts, I thought it would be a done deal. :thinkerg: so needless to say, I didn't bring her home today. maybe tommorrow. ;)
YoungMedic23 02-17-2009, 11:27 PM I've always been partial to Tbyrne(predator) and Bwoody when buying parts
urntfstenuf 02-18-2009, 01:27 AM I should know more of where if at all, I'll order the products needed to get my pilots license. :)

Hope it all works out for you. :D You'll love it. Couple of thoughts here though.
You say you have a signed contract.........Maybe you mean you have a signed buyers order.......That's just an agreement to sell you that specific vehicle for an agreed upon price. Sounds like it's now contingent upon finding you financing.
You still have to go in the F&I box to discuss and be approved for financing. This is where you CANNOT allow emotions to take over. Something sounds fishy if the FI Mgr. tells you the Credit Union person is not available. Hell, any dealer can just pick up the phone and work several lenders to see who will buy the paper. And keep in mind, they don't start out by trying to find the best deal for you. They can make a ton on money on the back end of the deal.
If you have time this morning, work the phones yourself, and call your personal bank, credit union, whoever, and tell them the info on the buyer's order. See what kind of deal/rates you can get on your own.
At this point of the selling process, it is not uncommon for them to come up with the usual stuff about how you need more money down, or to try and jack the interest rate. Work hard for yourself. Set your desire to own and emotions aside, and protect yourself. If your credit is good, and debt ratio not too high, beat them up on the offered rate if you think it is too high.
Not trying to lecture here, but it's their job to put the most to the bottom line, and yours to put the least. Good Luck.
SoonToBeSRT 02-18-2009, 08:42 AM ye i am going to be in your exact position in like 6 months hopefully, i mean i hear all the finances man, this stuff sucks but is kinda good as it builds up the anxiety and suspense, then when it goes through, you're gonna go through to, but youll be going through the roof and i mean that possibly in the literal sense haha, good luck man!!
urntfstenuf 02-18-2009, 04:37 PM Teda, I got to looking at pw, & it says - Retail Installment Sale Contract. what is F & I box? as of 5pm (wes) still no answer. should I just tell them to forget it? & go get my money back.
veyronSRT8@TTCreations 02-18-2009, 05:03 PM Exactly Ted, Negotiating the price is only half of the process....Negotiating the finance terms is the other half and sometimes even more important.
finance? what finance? ;)

Finance and Insurance box. In most dealers just a private room where a Finance manager does his/her thing. This is where they will try to sell you warranties, gap insurance etc. It is at this point you want to really look at what you are signing, the interest rate etc. Lots of papers to sign.
Normally, you first are with the salesman/sales mgr. who at some point agree with you on selling price. At this point you get what most refer to as a "retail sale/purchase agreement" that must be manager approved. This is usually only one sheet of paper with all vehicle info, discounts, trade allowances if any, prep fees, dealer doc" fees etc. Last line should be agreed upon "cash due upon delivery" figure. Might also be some financing /insurance figures on there etc.
BUT....If you are financing, you get to the point where the F&I guy or girl sits you down and goes over all the financial info, and prints out a load of papers. This includes actual loan document, disclosure statements, odometer statements, insurance info, interest payments, interest rates, etc. Until you sign your name in about 20 places and receive a ton of installment loan contract papers, temp registration etc, the deal ain't done.
No, I'm not saying forget about it, just cya and don't be shy on asking questions, and trying to get the best rate you can based upon your credit history.
Again, good luck.
1BAMFR 02-18-2009, 07:44 PM If you have decent credit and a 2500 dollar down pymt........you should have left with the Jeep the first time you were there.
Is your credit ***ed?

Teda, we did all the above as you stated. waited until Friday 19th & at 5pm they said no DEAL. so I grab my money & left.
tomsws6 02-21-2009, 05:47 PM hey , just a thought. if you have your buyers order maybe you should try your own financing? just because they said no doesnt mean you cant get it. It usually saves you some money cause there not holding any points and is usually a lot less of a hassle. If your credit is ok i would try it. As a matter of fact i would recomend a band called USAA. great rates and u do it on line. Its mainly for the military but if you apply for a loan you become a member. Its so freakin easy. and once you are a member id look into there insurance too. veryvery cheap. I have most of my accounts with them. When you apply you usually know with in minutes or theyll call you, and if they do its usually they just have a question. If approved, you can print out the approval letter and take it too the dealer and they will accept that. your check usually up to 50k(for normal people) will be fedex to you and you take it into them and sign it and thats thats. try it.
