Warranty Expires 2-2009 . . . New transfer case is being installed under warranty today :)
Had an issue where it was really loud when ESP was off and 30-50 MPH under partial throttle . . .

werd, i'm glad i caught it under warranty
even though I did purchase extended warranty through my bank, but they have a few more steps i'd have to go thru to get something big like this replaced . . . chrysler is alot easier!

I wonder if my 08 is already in need of a new t-case. It currently has 20,200 miles and I noticed that during moderate acceleration after about 3 seconds into the throttle the drivetrain will get pretty noisy then eventually go away. During this period the acceleration is also a little more harsh and you can feel it. Normal acceleration is 100% smooth and quiet. I can also hear a noise and slight harshness when I am driving and turn ESP off.
Based on what I just described is this what yours did as well? Was it easy to get the dealership to notice and did they replace the t-case with no hassle?
My 08 is obviously under factory warranty.
Thanks,
James

I had it where between 30-50 MPH was the worst sound. I could feel a slight vibration through the foot on accelorator. The sound was worsened with ESP off, but slightly noticable when on (light not on dash)
Sounds like a light version of nails in a tin bucket
Also, I had a hard time getting it replaced . . . brought it in about 5 times in 4 months . . they first charged me 374 dollars for a xfer case fluid change . . and then few other things to the point where they said we don't hear the noise, we see nothing wrong, what do you want.
I said let me drive my jeep with your tech riding with me . . . i hopped right on the interstate and showed him . . . within 1/4 mile away from the dealership, he offered to request a new xfer case from Chrysler . . just said they will have to approve it and since the case hasn't technically failed yet, they might turn down the request . . i called back later and it got approved and a week later i had a new xfer case in!
I thought this was something more serious when I first saw this thread. Good thing it was only the transfer case, still serious though.
