: test drove an 08
tomsws6 02-06-2009, 05:46 PM Well we talked about it and convinced the wife to go test drive one. it was a brilliant black with nav and dvd. two word.............Freakin AWESOME!!!!!! what a beast! my wife even liked it! one of the best parts was the seats! Best i ever sat in. Anyway it stickered for 47k and he offered it to us for 37k. not sure if its a good deal on an 08. they also said that jeep made a deal with dover downs international raceway that i get to take the jeep round the track.(srt8 experience?) 37 a good deal or do you think i could get more off?
WBSRT 02-06-2009, 05:59 PM Shi* Sounds like a good deal to me, get them to throw in the wheel and tire maintenance package.
Hardtopvette 02-06-2009, 06:16 PM Yeah sounds like a great deal to me to! Good choice on the 08!!! Im assuming since it has nav and rear DVD it has the HID headlamps as well right?
Go for it!
WBSRT 02-06-2009, 06:18 PM Like Nike, Just Do It !!!! and Black will get you a tenth, LOL
JJJ93z 02-06-2009, 06:19 PM Sick deal!, sad to say I lost $6k after owning the same vehicle for 1 year.
WBSRT 02-06-2009, 06:22 PM Sick deal!, sad to say I lost $6k after owning the same vehicle for 1 year.
Yeah Im with you on that one. But im still freakin happy i got it when i did. Only 9 months old, She still a baby.
tomsws6 02-12-2009, 08:14 PM Well i went up there last nite and talk to them a little more about it. they had the sales manager call me 3 times to get me to come in. So i went up there and we were workin out the deal. I know theyve had the truck atleast 9months so i knew they wanted to get ride of it. They were practicaly begging me to take the truck. so around 8pm i dragged my 18month son with me and i brought my denali up and was even going to trade in the T/A. they already drove the truck and asked them if they wanted me to go get my car but then after a few minutes the saleman just told me that another dealer wanted to do a dealer trade with them for it. So things went downhill quick and the sales manager didnt even want to talk to me face to face like he did all the times before. kinda pisses me off. i got the cold shoulder all of a sudden. I didnt even try anymore. i thought that was not how you treat customers and was bad buisness. So i just walked off. It like when your makin out with that girl and things are going great and your makin progress and it looks like your dream mite come true then BAM she slaps you in the face and walks off.
MemphisR24 02-12-2009, 08:43 PM WOW that blows! 37k is a STEAL for a brand new one. That's ok...you'll find another one with probably a better deal. Just keep looking
SRTYA 02-13-2009, 06:05 AM Sorry to hear this. Keep looking, there are some crazy deals out there, Boychicks just posted a new one for $35K in Montana. I know it is far but it cost very little to get a car shipped even if it is all the way across the country. I live in Florida and sold one of my boats to a guy in California. It only cost him like $1,500 to get the boat shipped all the way there. More than likely you could get the dealer to pay for the shipping.
MD 44 02-13-2009, 09:19 AM Sick deal!, sad to say I lost $6k after owning the same vehicle for 1 year.
No Sh!t! I think we are all in the same boat. I purchased mine back in the summer of 07, and I received the "Don Conrad" discount (which a lot of members on here purchased from Don too) - and back then I thought I got a great deal.......But now I am reading on the board here that guys are purchasing brand new 08's and 09's for 10-12K off the sticker price - That is a STEAL!
The thing that sucks is just a few years back, these trucks were untouchable. Dealers would not budge off the sticker price or some dealers were charging over the sticker price. Some dealers only had maybe 1 or 2 on there entire lot - and dealers would not even allow you to test drive the truck. You could not get any special interest rate deals either.
Now, times have sure changed.........10K off sticker.......That is a great deal!
DCSpecial 02-13-2009, 09:44 AM Yep, you can get sweet deals.
If I wanted Brilliant Black, I would have bought this one:
http://www.mancarischryslerjeep.com/new-inventory/vehicle-details.htm?vehicleId=2ea88d0e4046381e00f55759c78e edec
I called about it, owner of the dealership is driving it so it has ~500 miles on it they told me. Fully loaded, Kicker and all.

Yeah I was just about to post that one! It has option 1 and 2! Too bad its Black though cuz I am trying to find a 2008 Steel Blue Metallic.
rwboring 02-13-2009, 10:36 AM i think 37 might be a little much... but then again i got mine for slightly more like 4 months ago...
MemphisR24 02-13-2009, 10:39 AM Holy crap! 36 and fully loaded!? Why can't I come across a deal like that here in NJ..damn
marc4sgr 02-13-2009, 11:45 AM Yeah the deals are unreal out there. Mine is fully loaded minus the Kicker System, it had 5 miles and all the plastic covering the seats still.
49k and change was the sticker got it for 36k with the 48 month 0% financing deal. I finally felt like I was on the winning side of a car purchase.
I really love this thing..

I was looking for Steel Blue Metallic as well. I had a dealer run a search and they found plenty of black and brilliant black 08s, no steel blue metallic within 300 miles of here (or 400...not sure).
So, I ended up deciding on silver which was also hard to find in an 08.

Link to the dealer's website once you locate one, print the window sticker if available and take it to your local dealer and work em. Lot a great deals out there.

Yep, seen that. But for a little more you can go new on a leftover 08 with the same options for under $37k.

Yeah, I think I was a day late in trying to get that one from Milwaukee :D
They said it was on their lot since late 07 I think.
Art138 02-13-2009, 04:47 PM I had been lookin for a Steel Blue for the past few months and found one in Tamp, Fl; Got it out the door for 39,500 delivered to my house (loaded except kicker). In Southern Florida I found several reds which appear to sit on the lots longer. Dealers around here are only willing to knock about 5 to six thousand off only; if you like the color (red) the one on Ebay is at a fantastic price.....
BD997 02-13-2009, 04:48 PM thats NOT a good deal!... You can pick up an 09 with MSRP of 47k for 37k any day...

I got 10.5 k off mine.
Art138 02-13-2009, 05:06 PM Let see! 37 x 6 percent tax = 39,200 plus 500 shippiing......Plus the Steel Blue I wanted...I think I did well.....only 7 percent in that color were made. Yes, I found Red ones all day....there was considerable interest in that specific car and the dealer knew it. 8 thousand off at the time was good enough for me......
